Let's Start the Year Off Right!
Funded Jul 18, 2023I am so grateful for your donation to my project. I see my students using the materials you helped purchase during writing time. When our materials are developmentally appropriate (especially the writing journals) my students are engaged and excited about learning.
The colorful dominoes have given endless activities for my students to learn through play. They are exploring numbers, sorting, and having fun while sorting, counting and building. They love all the new activities! The multi cultural colored paper helps us represent the amazing community where we live, learn and play.
Without generous donors like you, the materials we need to make learning experiences more accessible would not be possible. Thank you for your continued support.”

Funded May 3, 2022I am so grateful for your donation to my project. I have watched my students find materials with ease thanks to the materials you helped purchase. When our materials are easily accessible, my lessons flow and less time is waisted finding workbooks and journals.
The boxes that hold manipulatives and work mats have helped with our hands on activities. The students are able to find their own counting blocks and and match them to the mat quickly which gives them more time for learning.
Without generous donors like you, the materials we need to make learning experiences more accessible would not be possible. Thank you for your continued support.”

Funded Dec 1, 2021We can not thank you enough for the easy-to-use magnetic sentence boards! My students continue to build tons of simple sight-word sentences during our small group time and center time! My class also loves using the Sight word flip books for practicing sight words as they create fun sentences! They especially like using the pictures and different punctuation to change the meaning or expression when reading out loud.
We are so grateful for donors like you who share the same passion for helping young learners have fun with reading activities! Especially since our students have been learning remotely, the hands on experience is really the key to our reading success.
Thank you again for your continued support!”

Funded Oct 8, 2021I cannot begin to thank you for your generous donation to my project! The new, clean seating area brought a huge smile to every student in my class! The new carpet has made circle time much more comfortable for everyone!
The extra-roomy squares give each child lots of space to sit and play. The color-coded rows make it easy to divide the class into small groups. The small groups have also helped with differentiating instruction and encourage team work!
Without supportive families like you, my class would not have access to this wonderful learning environment! Thank you again.”

Kid Friendly Social Distancing Materials
Funded Apr 1, 2021I can not begin to tell you how wonderful it was to see my students back in the classroom this year! After teaching on-line, it was a breath of fresh air to be back in the classroom with my Kindergarten students.
Being back in the classroom has been interesting because we are still expected to teach our students but keep them safely distanced at the same time. The materials you helped provide for my class helped me do just that. The floor shapes helped my students line up safely, as well as stand next to their desk without being too close to their friends.
I was able to do many activities outside with the class set of clipboards. This experience was so amazing for my students, I plan to continue using the clipboards for outside activities in the years to come.
I can not express how grateful I am for donors like you who share the same enthusiasm for giving my students the best possible learning experience. I would not have been able to provide these materials to my students without you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Chaussee
We Need Materials for Remote Learning!
Funded Aug 11, 2020I can not express how grateful my students an I are for your generous donation. You helped me provide writing journals, crayons and scissors for my students to use during this challenging year.
We have been using the journals to practice our writing skills. For example, each week we introduce a new letter and we use the writing journals for printing practice.
My students are able to continue their learning with cut and paste activities and several art activities with their student scissors. These age appropriate scissors allow my students to work on fine motor skills while learning many different concepts.
Again, thank you for supporting my project and helping me provide necessary tools for my students to learn during distance learning.”

Funded Jan 7, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation to the project which gifted our class with working headphones! With the increasing use of technology in our classrooms, the old headphones that we were using were not holding up. The new Lakeshore headphones are more durable and more comfortable for the students.
On a daily basis, our children are using tablets to access individual intervention reading material through an online reading program provided by our district. The students log on and are involved in games and learning activities for a limited time. The new headphones keep my students involved in the learning, rather than troubleshooting why they can not hear the directions.
Thank you again for donating and supporting DonorChoose.org. We are extremely grateful for our new working headphones.”

We Are Fairy Tale Problem Solvers!
Funded May 28, 2019I cannot thank you enough for supporting my project. My students are now listening to well known stories and solving the problems based on the story because of the materials that you helped purchase for our class.
I was so excited to introduce the students to all the new activities. My students are engaged in the activities, and connecting to the characters they are reading about. They have developed many new problem solving skills and now have opportunities to discuss strategies that they may actually use when problems arise.
Again, thank you for your continued support to my classroom project. My students and I are so excited for the new Fairy Tale Activities.”

Funded Apr 17, 2019I cannot thank you enough for supporting my project. My students are now building phonics skills and mastering consonant-vowel-vowel words all because of the materials that you helped purchase for our class.
I was so excited to introduce the students to all the new reading activities. My students are reading sentences, and finding the corresponding picture card to make a match. They have developed many new phonics skills and now have opportunities to orally produce single-syllable words by blending sounds, decode regularly spelled one-syllable words, and read high-frequency words by sight.
Again, thank you for your continued support to my classroom project. My students and I are so excited for the new reading centers.”
