Wiggling Our Way to Success
Funded Sep 24, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students have loved using all of the different tools to help them to focus.
On the 1st day they came to class and saw all of our new supplies, they were beyond excited. We have rotated the different items each week so different students are able to try new things. The wobble chairs are by far the students' favorite and they are so excited when it is their turn to use them.
Thank you again for giving my students tools to help the. To focus and be successful.”

Inspiring Lifelong Learners With Technology
Funded Mar 21, 2017Thank you again for your contribution to our project. The students have been very excited
to use the Kindle Fire tablets. In our classroom we have 3 desktop computers, but oftentimes they do not work or take an incredibly long time to turn on. The students have been very frustrated because they cannot look up information quickly and they have to take turns using them. With the tablets, the students can quickly look up information at their desks and then pass the tablet on to another student who needs it. This helps the students to complete their work more quickly and cuts down on their frustration.
This year we have also been creating videos, slideshows, and other digital representations of what we are learning about. The students have loved the ability to be more creative than writing reports. The students have also enjoyed watching each other's presentations. For students who normally have a difficult time standing in front of a class and speaking, the digital presentations have allowed them to be creative in their own unique way and has built their confidence.
Thank you again for your generosity.”

Kids Working Towards Building A Stronger School Community
Funded Apr 17, 2015Thank you so much for your generous contribution. The students were very excited to receive the equipment bin so that they could begin holding lunchtime activities for the students at our school. Before we had the bin, we didn't have anywhere to store the playground equipment, so we were not using the equipment at all. Once we received the bin, we were able to put the equipment in there and easily move it from place to place. This enabled the students to begin having lunchtime activities for the other students at our school, which has been very successful. Our goal is to provide a fun and inviting community for all of the students at our school, and now that we can have activities for the students at lunch, they are able to have fun and create new friendships. Thank you again for your support.”

Let's Recycle!
Funded Apr 8, 2015Thank you again for your generous contributions. The students have been so excited to use the recycling cans, and it has made the recycling process go much quicker and smoother. Before, the students had to hunt down empty trash cans they could use to gather the recycling from all of the classes. The whole process took up a lot of their free time, and they were becoming very frustrated with the project. However, now the students are excited to collect the recycling for our school, and they are learning new ways to make the process more efficient. The students are proud to be able to recycle for our school and to help our environment. Thank you for providing us with the supplies we needed, and for encouraging our students to help our world become a cleaner place.”

Funded Apr 14, 2014Thank you again for your generous donation. My class was so excited when our recycling bin was delivered that we had to stop everything we were doing so that they could unpack it and put it together. Currently our recycle bin is located by the lunch benches and labeled with the different lunch packaging that we can recycle (Capri Sun pouches, chip bags, water bottles, etc.) These items are then recycled and the money we make is donated to our library to purchase more books.
This year we had a unit that focused on the environment and the impact trash has on our planet. The students learned how trash can "take over" and harm all living things. By starting a recycling program at our school, the students were able to utilize what they learned and were able to make a difference at our school.
Thank you again for helping my students to become kids who can make a difference in our world.”

Funded Mar 19, 2014Thank you again for contributing to our project. My students have worked hard this year learning about the impact trash has on our world, and now they are able to help decrease the amount of trash at our school.
The students were very excited when we received our shipment and couldn't wait to put the cart together and start using it. They have used the cart to pick up water bottle recycling from different classrooms and they have also used it to collect lunch trays during lunch so that they can be recycled.
This project has helped my students to realize that they can make a difference. As sixth graders, they are the leaders at our school, and this has allowed them to take that role very seriously. They have become much more observant on the amount of waste we each produce and how that can be cut down if we only take the time to recycle.
Thank you again for helping my students to become positive contributors to our world!”
