  • Creativity Through Embroidery

    Funded Mar 29, 2025

We are so thankful for your support of our Embroidery project. We appreciate your donation and are excited to have this enrichment course offered at our school. This a great opportunity for my students to learn a beautiful craft that most students would never have the chance to learn. We can’t wait to see what they create!”

  • Mental Wellness is a Power Within YOU!

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

Jobs for Arizona's Graduates was excited to bring a mental health awareness initiative to our school. We knew this was an issue that had to be addressed on our campus. We requested these materials to provide during our mental health fair we will be hosting. We want students to receive a variety of affirmations to know they matter. Most importantly we want to students to know there are resources available to them if they need help. This is our second year promoting our initiative and we are excited that we can provide more swag and make the experience better. Thank you for helping us create a safe place for our students to feel and express themselves.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Catherine Sommer

  • Building Successful Mindsets in Financial Literacy, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship

    Funded Oct 16, 2024

We have benefited so much from the resources provided to our classroom. Financial literacy is so important for my students to know and learn about. I am glad we have the right resources to make their learning relevant. I am now able to give my students a solid foundation about finances and help them be more prepared for their adult life. The books have been a valuable resource that have shaped how we look at our finances. My students can be confident in the skills they have gained and be knowledgeable as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.”

  • LEGO Competition Equipment

    Funded Nov 3, 2022

It is a big task to get our students ready for their LEGO Regional Competition. We were very grateful for the carts to cary all the materials: robots, boards, snacks, and props. The students just loved wheeling around these carts! It definitely made hauling everything so much easier.

The students used their bottles to fill with various drinks to keep them hydrated throughout this long 12 hour day. Our students looked fabulous with their personalized water bottles and received numerous compliments on their team spirited swag.

We could not have done this event with such ease without all the materials that we received from your generous donation.”

  • Embroidery Enrichment

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

We are excited to provide another year of sewing for our students at Heartland Ranch Elementary. This year's theme will be "Looks Sew Good" that will build upon students' skills from the previous year. We intend for the students to participate in a community project. The students will sew either a comfort animal or cute monster to give to students in support groups on our campus.

The new materials and equipment will elevate the student's talents and skills to create beautiful hand made projects for those in need. We are very thankful for your donation to our club. Our students really enjoy sewing and creating things from scratch. The excitement is contagious.”

  • Sewing and Sustainable Fashion

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

We truly appreciate your sponsorship of our program. We were able to provide the students with four sewing machines and all the accessories needed to implement our Sustainable Fashion project. Our main goal was to show students how they can re-invent their clothing using various sewing techniques to make them last longer and keep them out of the landfill. In addition, they researched the concept of Fast Fashion and the various economic and environmental impact it has.

Our students started with the basic techniques, such as, threading a needle, tying off the thread, and rudimentary stitches. It did not take long for them to have the confidence to tackle a larger project, which they made their own drawstring bag. The class added onto their sewing skills and learned ten basic embroidery techniques and cross stitching.

Once we received the sewing machines, the students were so excited to learn how to use them. The students took ownership by setting up the machines and worked hard at learning how to use them. As a culminating project, they made a pillow with an embroidery design. Your generosity allowed our students to go beyond what we hoped to teach them. We are grateful for you kindness.”
