Full Steam Ahead!
Funded Feb 28, 2023Thank you so much for the generous donation to our classroom! The STEAM materials that you have provided have given my students opportunities for engaging science, engineering, and art projects! They especially love using the building supplies during indoor recess to engineer and make discoveries while completing challenges.
Last spring, we were able to use the butterfly and ladybug kits to witness the unique transformations of both of these creatures! It was amazing to use our reading skills to learn about these concepts while getting to witness them first hand!
We've also had the opportunity to use the painting supplies to create canvas paintings of beach scenes and underwater ocean scenes while learning about ocean creatures. These projects were the favorite of many students, as art supplies can be expensive and difficult to come by!
With budget cuts and the economic impact, many schools are struggling to provide basic student needs. Without donors like you, many students and teachers would go without engaging and impactful learning materials. You are greatly appreciated!”

Excited and Engaged With Math Centers!
Funded Jul 15, 2022Thank you so much for the generous donation to our classroom! The math center resources that you have provided have given my students opportunities for engaging math practice! They especially love using the task cards to "scoot" around the room, while practicing their math skills. This gives them the opportunity for movement while practicing their new skills!
I truly believe that having engaging and motivating practice opportunities can make a huge difference in student learning. When practice is fun and game-like, students are learning without even realizing it. Even my struggling learners find success in using the math centers you've provided!

The rug that you've provided has become the perfect "gathering spot" for students as they collaborate and work with their peers. We appreciate having a nice, warm place to sit without having to sit on the cold, hard tile. The rug matches our room decor perfectly and makes the whole room look so inviting!

Funded Oct 5, 2021I can't thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom! The water bottles that were donated were each personalized and given to the third grade students in our school. We participate in a school-wide house program and each water bottle had a vinyl house decal with the students' name printed on the opposite side.
Students have such pride for their personalized water bottles! Many of them told me that it's the first time they had something with their name printed on it. We've noticed that students remember to bring their bottles to school and want to use them throughout the day. This has cut down on students that do not have water to hydrate throughout the day. It's also saved me money in purchasing cases of water.

Funded Sep 9, 2021I wish that you could witness the excitement, joy, and engagement of my students as they complete Gim Kit challenges! Anytime I bring up the website on our smart TV, they immediately get so excited and are eager to play.
You've provided such an engaging way for my students to practice new skills. Gone are the days of repetitive worksheets and drill practice. With Gim Kit, they are practicing without realizing they are practicing! The game feature encourages ALL students to be successful at their new skills.
After using Gim Kit to practice, I'm proud to report that seven of my students have completely mastered their multiplication facts- such a big defeat for third graders in a short amount of time. I can't wait to see how my other students do as we continue practicing.

Funded Jul 30, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! The supplies that we received have truly been "the gift that keeps on giving." It's so nice that when a student asks for a new dry erase marker, replacement colored pencil, new glue stick, or simply needs a pencil sharpened, I am able to provide the supplies that they need to be successful.
On the first day of school, each student was welcomed to our class with a stocked supply box. I could see the signs of relief for students that weren't able to bring supplies to class due to financial hardships. They had everything they needed right there at their seats!
My students were most excited about having their own sets of colored pencils and pencil sharpeners. Most students prefer colored pencils, but settle for crayons because they are the less expensive option. To provide each student with a set of colored pencils was awesome! They take pride in their work with their new supplies.

Funded Jul 12, 2021Thank you so much for supporting this project to encourage positive behavior and reward students for their hard work! My class has been using a point system this year, in which students earn points for making great choices. Every two weeks, students have the option of using their points to shop in our store. The puzzle erasers, water bottle stickers, and mechanical pencils provided through this project have quickly become favorites. The Jolly Ranchers and Airheads have been perfect for a quick sweet treat when students are working hard. Thank you so much for helping to encourage, motivate, and celebrate my students' hard work during such a challenging time!”

As I unpacked the box of books that arrived to my classroom, my students got very excited about our upcoming read aloud choices! They particularly couldn't wait to read "The Wild Robot Returns." The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card helped supply with fun comprehension activities to use during our book studies. It was awesome to see how students were making connections and predictions and analyzing story elements while we shared these wonderful books. Funded May 17, 2021I am so excited to share with you what a success our Learning Luau turned out to be! My students were so excited to spend the day celebrating their accomplishments and hard work throughout the year! We tie dyed shirts for the occasion and each student was decked out in their sunglasses and Hawaiian leis. We spent the morning creating sand art bottles, ocean sunset canvas paintings, crayon resist marine life paintings, and memorable decorated picture frames. The students had the opportunity to visit a photo booth to take a picture to remember the occasion! Our afternoon was spent eating Hawaiian snacks, playing water games, and making ocean slime! Thank you for helping provide resources to create a fun and exciting day that my students will never forget! Without generous donors like you, many classrooms would go without. We appreciate you!”

We Fidget While We Work
Funded Jan 13, 2021I am so thankful for your generous donation to my students! We just finished our first full week of school this year with all of my students together in our classroom and the standing tables that you provided were so helpful for making a smooth transition.
My favorite thing about these tables is that it gives my students an opportunity to move and stand in my classroom, while still following our schools distancing guidelines. The kids love to "work at the table" and because they are on wheels and can be easily pulled apart or pushed together, it provides the perfect place for me to provide one-on-one or small group instruction. The kids really love the stools as a different seating option. It gives an opportunity for fidgety students to move in a positive way, while still working and not distracting others!
As with virtually every school district, our county is currently facing many budget cuts. Because our school is in such a high poverty area, it is vital that funds are used to purchase necessities for students. If it weren't for your generous donation, my classroom would never have had the standing tables and stools that have become so important during this time.
