In order to help: [1] close gap between students within our city, county, state and nation [2] expand students knowledge on how to use technology to enhance their educational experiences and [3] help students meet and exceed targeted standards, I would like to receive at least four Chromebooks to provide engaging, hands-on, fun, exciting and motivating learning experiences to students who are struggling academically. The integration of Chromebooks in our educational setting is going to help my students not only meet and exceed ELA and World Language Standards, but also provide life-long learning experiences that otherwise could not happen. In addition, the Chromebooks are also going to provide my students the opportunity to: [1] use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing [2] demonstration of sufficient command of keyboarding skills to type a an essay [3] conduct short research projects to answer a question, and [4] gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources. In general, the accessibility of Chromebooks in the classroom creates a way to expand students educational horizons. It also leads the way for students to own their learning and walk beyond the horizons he/she may see at first glance by engaging them in special assignments.
