Bears Learn STEM
Funded Sep 21, 2022I want to say thank you for your donation to our project. My kinder and first grade students were so excited when I showed them the new activities we could do during center time.
The magna tiles have been extremely popular with the children. When we were studying about polar bears and penguins the children spent the week creating suitable shelters for those animals. The shape puzzles have had them work logically creating different animals with the shapes.
We will begin coding in February, so we are excited to use the mouse robot soon! Again, we can not thank you enough!”

Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you so much for your donation. The students just cheered for joy when we shared the outside activities to play outside in the playground. I had students run to the see saw. Everyday they are learning to make friends and socialize with each other. With the see saw they are learning to take turns and learning how to chat with one another. You should see their smiles when they jump on the seesaw. The little bears enjoy playing with the foam blocks. We take them out and there is always a few who are building and trying to build the tallest tower. Thank you for supporting our project! Without your support, we couldn't provide the variety of games and outside activities for our little bears.”

Funded Oct 2, 2018WOW! Thank you! The flex-seating has dramatically changed my classroom environment! Students now have the ability to use the wobbly stools or the cushions while they are working in my classroom. When the box came, the kids were so curious to see how they work. We rotated through the week so the children can get a sense of how they work. Now the students grab their chose of seating and get to work! Kids are on the floor using their cushions while reading a book or in their wobbly stools working on a math problem. Choice seating has help my students who need a variety of seating to help them focus. Thank you again!”

Funded Aug 22, 2018I can not thank you enough for your generous donation to my project. My students have already began using all the art materials we were donated. Smiles were coming from ear to ear when I opened our box of art materials. We painted these beautiful sunflowers that corresponded to a reading lesson. All the kids carefully took out their paint brushes and placed them into the paint tins. We completed a perspective art lesson that went with our point of view lesson and of course the kids were giddy with excitement because we got use our paints once again. You have brought so much joy to my classroom. Thank you!”

Butterfly Science
Funded Jan 10, 2012How can one say thank you enough. I can't, you both have helped bring the life cycle of butterflies to group of kids that not only learned but enjoyed science.
You have impacted the learning of these kids, one told me yesterday that he would like to be a scientist, because science is fun! That probably would not have been possible without your generous support. Aonther compared the life cycle of a butterfly, to the life cycle of a frog. How wonderful!
Due to your generous support, this class of first graders were able to enjoy and live science. Thank you!”

Getting Hooked on Books!
Funded Sep 23, 2011Thank you for your generosity! Your of donation to students reading success has been such a wonderful gift.
Excitement and giggles are heard as a new shipment of books was received over the past few weeks. Currently have been using our new books, during small group, independent reading, and shared reading. As a result of increased reading practice, my first grade students reading fluency has increased tremendously. In the beginning of the year their fluency was 12 words per minute. Now their reading fluency is 40 - 100 words per minute, and still increasing!
Everyday my students eagerly ask if can we read from one of our new books. Frog and Toad, Amelia Bedila have become class favorites. Smiles come across their faces, as we read and discuss the wonderful literature. Cheers and applause are heard throughout my class, as we finish reading some of our most favorite books. All thanks to you!
As their teacher it brings me great joy that your generous gift has made a difference in the education of my student, I could not have afforded these books without your generous donation. The magic of reading is alive and well in our classroom. Again thank you!”
