Different seating options and student choice are vital in a kindergarten classroom. It teaches the students valuable lessons such as how to identify what they want, what space they are comfortable in, as well as trust and respect. When we give our students the option to choose where they sit, they tend to respond more effectively in the learning environment. My students will benefit greatly from the rectangular and circular floor tables paired with the balance ball seats because they will have an outlet to fidget and move without distracting their classmates. These seating options along with a Soft and Safe Tree Seat, will provide a safer environment for my students to get their wiggles out in a fun, effective way instead of falling backwards in the standard classroom chair. When this project is funded, my students are going to learn the importance of taking care of their belongings and what it means to receive a donation. Not only are you giving back to a community of students who need it, you are providing me with the chance to teach them enduring lessons that they will carry throughout their lifetime.
