  • Make Learning Letters and Words Fun!

    Funded Apr 16, 2018

Your generous donations have changed my classroom. The letter and sight word activities have re-energized my students! They want to go to stations and are eager to learn using the new materials.

The new stations are not only helping my students learn new words, but they also are helping my students maintain good behavior. When the choice is follow directions and do the fun new station or misbehave and do an older station – they all make good choices! They are kind and considerate to each other. When in the fishing for sight words they are sharing the fishing poles to take turns. They are being respectful of their partners and not snatching the puzzle pieces. It's wonderful to watch them improve their cooperation skills.

I love watching my students continue to learn and am looking forward to using these activities with my future students. I hope they are developing a lifelong love of learning!

The donations from donors choose are helping my students have new learning experiences. Our school does not have the resources to provide these great items. Your kind gifts are helping all my students learn without putting a burden on me to purchase new items. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to you and the other donors that are helping make our schools better for our children.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Breslin

  • Help Make Us Creative Problem Solvers

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Your generous donations have changed my classroom. The STEM Bundle from Lakeshore is a great resource for my students. They are more engaged and thinking more critically than before.

With the Bee-Bot robot they are engaged in answering academic questions while problem solving. In order to solve their problem they have to make a plan. This is helping them think before they act because it is easy to see if an impulsive decision does not work. They are becoming critical thinkers and explaining their answers. I hope that the experience they are gaining crucial life skills that will make them lifelong learners and thinkers.

The Fairy Tale Problem Solving stations are giving them critical experience in planning and trying various ways to solve a problem. They are so engaged with helping the fairy tale characters that they know and love!

The donations from donors choose are helping my students have new learning experiences. Our school does not have the resources to provide these great items. • Help My Students Get Organized!

    Funded Sep 22, 2017

When my students walked into my room the day after I set up the cubby shelves they were in awe! They thought it looked super cool and couldn't wait to use it.

Since each student now has their own cubby sending home information in my class has become much easier. They can take responsibility for managing their completed work. It also has helped some of my struggling students learn to recognize their names, since you have to find your name to know which cubby is yours.

As the year goes on the students will be taking more and more responsibility with making sure that they take home items that need to be communicated to their parents. The cubby shelves will continue to help with organization for this group of students and all of my future students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Breslin
