Wow - Thank you so much for helping my students achieve their goals with their Rube Goldberg Machines! My students are always looking for inventive ways to make their Rube Goldberg Machine! These items will help them achieve that goal! We appreciate your generous donation! I can’t wait to share their projects with you!”

  • Rube Goldberg Machine

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

We have recently returned to in-person instruction and the students were so excited to be able to work in their small groups again. Although they just started to plan for their Rube Goldberg Machine, they couldn't wait to see all of the variety of items they were going to be able to use. They will be able to learn about simple machines and use that knowledge to create their very own Rube Goldberg machine. Once completed they will start to learn about the different biomes and what makes them unique. They will end that lesson by buildIng a biome diorama and create a brochure to present to the class.

Thank you so much for contributing to our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brannan

  • Rube Goldberg Machine

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

Thank you so much for purchasing the materials needed for my students to make their RUbe Goldberg Machines. The love being able to design stuff. I never know what materials they will use. Students used a wide variety of items to create a Rube Goldberg Machine, with the end task being popping a balloon.

It was great to have sample Simple Machines for the students to mess with and see what they do. They loved using the pulley system and the incline planes.

The gears worked great! Students were able to use them and decide on how gears could be used in their design. My students and I truly appreciate everything you purchased for us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brannan

  • Rube Goldberg Machine

    Funded Feb 3, 2019

Thank you so much for helping me fund the Rube Goldberg Machines. The students enjoy building something out of nothing. It is a great way for them to learn about simple machines, problem solving and constructive thinking. The kids love using their imagination to come up with a creative way to pop a balloon.

In the students project they are required to have at least four simple machines, with one of them being the wedge (the pin to pop their balloon). The students always start with an idea and a drawing...usually their original idea is very complex. When they start the building process they usually have to make adjustments to their original plan.

Thank you, again, for help to fund this project. I love that we were able to bring Rube Goldberg to a new generation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brannan

Students are asked to make Rube Goldberg machine. They use Adobe to create different items they may need, and they use the schools laser cutter to cut the Bulk Buy: Darice DIY Crafts Wood into their objects. Before they can even start making it - they design their Machine in their Design Notebook. Students some times make mistakes, or change their minds and need to erase things... that is where the jumbo erasers would be used. They then can use the Caydo 500 Pieces Chenille Stems Pipe Cleaners and their cut outs- along with other items we already have in class- to make their Machine.
