Funded Nov 12, 2018Thank you very much for your support and generous donations to our classroom. The children absolutely love the yoga balls, and it has helped them stay active while learning. Their reactions were priceless when they walked in the room and saw all their new chairs. Now students from other classes are begging to be in our room. Their test scores have gone up, and behaviors are minimized. We're still learning that they shouldn't be bounced in the class, but that is nothing compared to their advancement in reading comprehension. I'd much rather see a child be a better reader and still fidgety, thank simply fidgety and not comprehending appropriately. The atmosphere has ever changed for the betterment of the children thanks to your support.”

Flexible Seating to help Academic Achievement
Funded Jan 7, 2017Thank you all who donated for the flexible seating in my classroom this year. The students loved them and their achievement grew because they were able to move and learn at the same time. I can't wait to start a new project for fund the last set of flexible seating chairs for next year. You're all amazing to help our kids learn and grow! Be on the lookout for a new project coming soon. I need about 15 more chairs and a few more pedals for next year. All the students wanted to be in my room because of the seating arrangement and group community work done in here. It's truly amazing to see them learn.”

Funded Aug 25, 2015Reading has completely changed in our classroom. Before, students were reading text that were not as interesting to them, and they were not able to get up and move around the room with their reading materials. Now, students have games and activities that enhance their learning environment. Before i introduced the reading materials, I had several students who said they hated reading. Now, nearly all students have found a love of reading in some way. Reading is interactive and engaging now. They are talking more about the materials, and are smiling and making connections. It is amazing to see how much they have gained over the past few weeks of school. I can't wait to see how much more they grow throughout the year.”

Technologically Savvy
Funded Aug 25, 2015I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for reaching children. In reading, we so often use abstract explanations to explain abstract things.
The tools that you have funded will enable students to create and explain their own concepts with concrete tools, which will associate to the abstract. In addition, I will be able to integrate technology in everything they do.
I hope to share with my colleagues a new technique in learning. Thank you so much. I can't wait to introduce these tools to the children.”

Fall in Love with Learning
Funded Feb 21, 2015This was an amazing year, and the resources you all helped my students use were extremely beneficial. I attached a few pictures of them using a select few of the items you helped purchase. There were so many resources, I could not post them all. I also posted a picture showing how I began organizing many of the materials and resources you all helped fund. They learned so much and I am happy to announce they ALL WILL BE MOVING ON TO 5TH GRADE!!! The students absolutely LOVED all the fun activities that came in our boxes. Most students reading levels were raised AT LEAST 2 grade levels because of your help. I can't wait to see how next years students will also benefit from all the resources, and am hoping to post a new project soon so that it will hopefully be funded by the start of the new school year.
Again, I can not explain how much your generosity has boosted students success, and got them interested in learning. It is so amazing to see growth in students who were previously not interested in learning because they were not exposed to hands-on activities. I am thrilled for the upcoming school year, and hope you all will come take a peek into what we have in store for the upcoming year.”

Creating Lifelong Learners
Funded Aug 13, 2014Thank you so much for your donations and inspiring words to help fund our classroom. These resources have helped boost their learning experiences in numerous ways. In science, students have been able to use the manipulatives for hands-on projects creating cars that run on their own, and they also love how they can create their own science experiments from start to finish within a 30 minute time frame.
Without these resources, students would only be able to look at books and pictures. Many of the students are begging to be able to take some of the kits home to work on over the weekends. It is unreal to see how much they thrive on learning using these hands on projects.
We are all so eternally grateful for all you have done to help students want to learn more. They can't wait to begin learning every day, thanks to amazing people like yourselves.”

Math and Science Fun
Funded Aug 4, 2014Thank you all so much for your generous contributions to our classroom. As you can see, we have been using every single item you helped purchase. The clipboards are used daily for inside and outside reading/writing time. The Science Manipulative's are used weekly to enhance student interests in building and creating movable objects. Last week. they created a vehicle that worked on a battery.
The learning center stations help me create fun, active, and engaging activities daily, and are meant for multiple types of learners. The students are practically begging me to bring out the "games", and I am happy to let them play to learn.
Our classroom has an "want to learn" atmosphere now, and they want to participate, because learning is engaging for them. I truly appreciate all your help in allowing out classroom to thrive academically.
Please be on the lookout for my next big project. I'm sure it will be coming soon.”
