• Overhand and Underhand Throwing Equipment

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to fund our Donor's Choose for new PE equipment! My students were so excited to learn we would have new soft style balls to use during games and activities! They were even excited to learn we had new storage carts for our gym closet. The carts are being used for small PE equipment, playing cards, and activity plans.

  I waited to open the boxes with my classes and each class was thrilled to see what was inside! Smiling faces, squeals of delight, and happy dancing took place when I opened the boxes of new balls! Of course, they couldn't wait to use these new soft style balls in PE class. I was excited to see what new games and activities we could do since each student now had a soft style ball to use.

  Your donation to our classroom is very appreciated! Your impact in our PE class has been huge! I am now able to teach more effectively since we don't have to share the soft style balls. Thank you again for your support!”

• Purposeful Play at Recess!

  Thanks to your generous donation, the beginning of the school year was extra special! Students were eager to start gym class and quickly noticed the brand new cart full of new field equipment. After welcoming them back to school, I explained we had an amazing donor donate new equipment to our school! I wish you could have heard their cheers and seen their applause!

  I showed them how to take care of the equipment, the field cart, and then we went to the field to try everything out! The kids proudly pushed the new cart to the field and quickly picked out their favorite items they wanted to use. Jump ropes, kick balls, and the soccer nets were a huge hit! The kids loved the long jump ropes as we've never had them before. The short jump ropes are also great since lots of kids can use them no matter their height.

  The cart has been used by 200 students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. Each one has a smile on their face when using the new recess equipment!

  Thank you for your support of learning! My students are enjoying the new field equipment and will continue to enjoy it for many more years! It's amazing supporters like you who make teaching even more rewarding. Thank you again for your donation!!”

• Literacy and Math in PE!

  Excitement was in the air when I told my students we would be getting new gym equipment! They were thrilled when the packages arrived and even more excited when I told them we would open them together! They couldn't wait to use the agility equipment and flashcards during relay races.

  The next week in gym class, students entered the gym and immediately saw all the new equipment set up for relay stations. The speed ladder and mini hurdles were a big hit with all grades! My younger students used the math flashcards when performing agility races. Kindergarten and first graders have been using the sight word cards with partners during our warm up activities.

• Helping Make Amazing Artists!

  My students were so excited to receive brand new art supplies! The excitement on their faces as I opened each box was heart warming! They could not wait to use the art supplies, paint, paper, and palettes! All of the art supplies arrived just in time for our "Prehistoric Art" unit. Students painted dinosaurs, drew cave art, made fossils, and even created silhouettes of different types of dinosaurs!

  I was relieved when I knew I could go to my cabinets and have brown paint and white paper to complete our art activities. As a teacher, it's frustrating to know I can't teach certain art lessons because I don't have the art supplies or tools needed. Your contribution to our art classroom and amazing students is greatly appreciated! Thank you for supporting their learning through art!”

• Balance in PE!

  Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom! My students were SO excited when we opened the boxes to our new balance rocks and poster/chart stand! We set up a balance challenge with our balance rocks and it was such a fun time! The bright colors and different sized rocks are a great addition to our PE equipment. Students are already asking when we are going to using our balance rocks again.

  The poster/chart stand is being used for our fitness card posters. It's also being used for our QR codes cards. This spring, I'm going to use the chart stand to hold our "I can..." statements when we take PE outside on our field!

• Having a Ball in PE Class!

  Thank you again for your amazing support of my students! They were so excited to hear our project was fully funded! The day all our materials arrived was such an exciting time! They were eager to start using the basketball cart right away. My students love basketball skills, and now it's so much easier to get out the basketballs out of our PE closet since they're not in mesh bags anymore.

  My students LOVE the new poly spot dots for the floor. I use them a lot with basketball skills. We also use them for many games and the colors make it easy to customize for seasonal games (green/red at Christmas, orange at Halloween, green for St. Patrick's Day). The jumbo playing cards are used during PE stations. The kids love using them to choose PE activities to complete with their classmates.

• Great Books Lead to Great Art!

  Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping to fund my Donor's Choose project! I now have 18 beautiful books as a springboard for my art lessons! I was able to complete at least one art lesson with each of my grades (1st through 5th) before our schools were shut down due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

  With each lesson, I would read the book to the class, then we'd discuss the book, characters, and the art incorporated in the book. I'd show my students the final art project they'd be working on so they would have the end goal in their minds. During the next lesson, we'd tackle our art projects head on! My students LOVED the books and being read to. I'm amazed at how attentive and caught up they get during the read aloud. I can see the excitement in their eyes as they eagerly await to see what's going to happen on the next page. I miss seeing their happy faces!

  Please find a few pictures of the final art projects we completed! My students were so proud and amazed at their art! They loved being able to tell their families and friends about the book that went along with their art project. Thank you again for graciously donating to fund my project! • New Technology for a New School Year

  The mini laptop you have generously donated has had a tremendous impact on my classroom. Students are eager to use it during our reading and math centers. Before, students did like this center because my old laptop would not work with the new SmartBoard in my classroom. Now, students can't wait to use the new mini laptop!

  Students are using it for research on the Internet as well. Currently, we're researching the history of Veteran's Day. Students are going to use the information to make a short report and Power Point Presentation. This would have not been possible without your generous donations.
