By having the book, Baker's Magic, the students will have an opportunity to read a story that will give them insight to our Project-Based Learning for the first semester. We are trying to include all of the four subjects, and the following book will give us a push towards the Reading component. Students are beyond excited to receive a new book to read! Show students the love of reading and how we can incorporate reading into a Mathematics PBL assignment. The students will have a chance to bake cookies using fractions and to have a discussion with a Bakery. "Baker's Magic" will give students an insight on a little girl who makes friends with a baker who helps her in her time of need.
