Alternative Seating
Funded Aug 16, 2018Thank you for your thoughtful donation. The alternative seats in my classroom are a huge success. From day one, the kids have enjoyed sitting on the moving stools and wobble cushions. These new seats have allowed my students to keep moving while they work in a seated position. For some, the alternative seating is a game changer in their work habits, as they are now able to work but can still move about when they are driven to do so.
An additional bonus of the alternative seats is sharing. I have traditional seats in the classroom, but everyone enjoys the "fun seats." These seats have helped my students practice taking turns, improved their patience, and taught the students that it is ok for someone to sit on a seat that you really want to sit on. For many, sharing is a new thing and these are life skills that will help them in the many years of schooling to come.
Thank you for your help to foster an environment that helps all learners have a chance to work hard and do their best!”

New Seating!
Funded Nov 12, 2016I can't express my excitement and thanks for your donations to my project. It is great to see so many people who are willing to support the classroom and all the fun activities to help my students learn.
The new seats and chairs have helped foster an environment of learning. Students are working hard, interacting and learning with other students while performing school related projects, but still have the freedom to move at their seats. These seats and chairs have made our classroom a place where all types of learners and all types of personalities can have success.
Thank you for helping my students work and learn to the best of their ability.”

Tunes to Learn By!
Funded Oct 4, 2014Thank you for making it possible to have music in the classroom. The iPod you helped purchase has made having music throughout the day so much easier. We are able to have music playing while working during centers and journal time. Cleaning up and lining up to music is just a click away now. Having different songs for different parts of the day are great ques to help with transitions from one activity to another. Without your help, having music in the classroom would take a lot more time and every second counts when you are teaching children. Thank you for your donations and for your help in making our classroom a room filled with music.”

Funded Aug 22, 2014Thank you for making it possible to be able to share student activities with parents. My students and their parents have loved the opportunity to view pictures of the school year. My students have also really enjoyed the slide shows that I have put together to show them pictures from different school events. Some of the pictures that were taken with the camera that was purchased will be displayed in our school yearbooks. It has been an exciting opportunity to take quality pictures to share with students, family and the school population.
Without your support, many families would not be able to see what their child participates in during the school day.”

Lets Get Reading!!
Funded Oct 21, 2011Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Having a listing center in our classroom has been such a wonderful and fulfilling experience for all the student in the classroom. Many days it is the first thing students want to do during center time; if they had their way they would do it everyday.
For many students the listening center has being the seeds they needed to pick up a book on their own to read. Over the past few months my students have blossomed into confident and independent readers. Thank you for giving my student the opportunity to listen to stories and help them become the readers they are today. ”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Blodgett
