• Back to School Supplies

  Thank you so much for funding our supplies. I was a little late submitting my project this year and was starting to run out of essentials like pencils, paper, even markers and wipes. • Center Time!

  Thanks to you my students have Math notebooks that they use several times in the week as they learn new vocabulary or practice new concepts. The pencils were very helpful too.

  Thanks to you, we had headphones for all students with accommodations to listen to the questions as they took the beginning of the year district standardized test. And they continue to use them during online lessons and practice.

  Thanks to your donations, instead of using paper, as students worked in groups to solve problems, they could use whiteboards with the markers and erasers you donated.

  Coming out of the knowledge and learning loss due to covid, your kindness and generosity frees us to focus all our energy on filling those gaps.

• School Supplies

  Your donation to my classroom has been extremely impactful. First of all, the notebooks are already being used in class to solve problems and algebraic equations! The pencils you got us are being put to good use on these notebooks. The whiteboard clipboards are a big hit, and as you may know, in a math classroom, they are a great alternative to paper.

  The SEL stress relief toys, Fidget toys and treasure chest supplies are great to keep spirits up and reward good work and behavior. You will be surprised to see how popular they are even with middle school kids. Because they are really still kids!

  The tape and push pins are being used to put up posters and anchor charts in the classroom. The sharpener is something no classroom can survive without. And the disinfecting wipes are keeping us safe and healthy.

  So your donations are helping my class in so many ways. Truly my students and I thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

• School Supplies!

  The supplies are here! Thank you so much! Pencils, the big sharpener, construction paper, scissors have already been opened and put to use. The plastic sleeves are being used for centers and for small group instruction. My room is clean thanks to the wipes and cleaning supplies that were a part of this donation. My treasure chest is a favorite with all the new additions to it.

  I hope you understand how having these supplies adds to the climate in the classroom. My students enjoy these small luxuries.

• Sweatshirts for the Cold!

  The sweatshirts are a big hit! My students and their parents thank you.

  My district has uniforms and that is one thing that we struggle with all winter...getting students to follow the uniform policy while ensuring they are warm and protected.

  Your kind donation has helped my class to be able to comply and stay warm.

  The students were so excited to receive this gift, they posed for each picture! They wear them everyday, and I have had parents complain that they won't take them off for a wash!

• Marvelous Math Centers

  Your donation of the Math Centers has made my Math class fun! My students ae playing games with each other and not even realizing that they are strengthening their Math skills.

  Every week, on Fridays, we carve out time to work on different centers. Students are working on place value, addition and subtraction, and now multiplication! Your generous gift has allowed me to start the year right!

  I especially love this gift because these centers have them using boards and paper and pencil. It gives them time to think about the Math, use words to explain their answers and how they won.”

• Great Start with School Supplies!

  The supplies you have allowed us to get is already in use! The sharpeners were opened immediately. There are 2 in our classroom right now. With 29 kids in the classroom, we need two sharpening stations. The pencils and erasers are a daily use item too. Every week, about 35-40 pencils get consumed.

  The notebooks were the first to be used as writing journals. You may be pleased to know that we have completed 2 projects in Social Studies using the construction paper, scissors and the glue!

  Students have come back this year hungry for day to day, regular school activities like writing a journal daily, or doing projects in class. Your help in funding this project has allowed us to do just that.

• Books for One and All!

  Your gift of books has brought great joy to my students. At the start of the year, I was apprehensive if we would be allowed to use our books. And then we got the directive that libraries are allowed in the classroom this year!

  Every day we use these books. If a student finishes early, they can pick a book to read. My students throng at the bookshelf every opportunity they get. They are once again enjoying reading and exploring books.

• Listen Up with Headsets!

  Your kindness in donating these headphones has really helped. They arrived last month and we have already put them to good use.

  Everyday my students log in to their chromebooks and practice math and reading skills, read books, watch videos on animals, people and world events, different countries and cultures, learn about how to...and what is?

  These headphones allow them to do all this quietly without disturbing their neighbors. I can then use this time to work with small groups focusing on their specific areas of need.

• All About Reading

  Funded May 13, 2019

  Thank You for your support and generosity in funding our project. As a teacher in a city school, resources and books are precious. You have allowed us access to grade and age appropriate books, access to current and relevant authors and issues. You have allowed us to read culturally and socially relevant books that my students would want to read. So thank you for allowing us to expand our library.

  Everyday we read for 20 minutes and this just increases at the end of the year as the curriculum comes to a close. When the books arrived and I opened up the boxes, I spread out the books for them to see. The excitement in the room was worth watching! They spent a few minutes just admiring and lining up which books they would read first!

  In the words of one of my students, " We really appreciate these books. So many of my classmates really wanted some of the cool books you got for us. I mostly like mystery books and you bought us so many! Thank You!"”
