  • Real World Reading Connections

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you very much for supporting my classroom and their reading adventures! I think that providing them with real world connections will prepare them for events that will happen outside of the everyday school. I have done these before in my classroom and they have always been a hit. So again thank you very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hale

  • Let's Get Going!

    Funded Nov 23, 2024

This donation has helped create new resources that I can use yearly in my classroom. I was able to download a lot of reading resources to help in our knowledge of standards. My students were academically low in the vocabulary area in reading. I was able to purchase a resources where we are able to complete one vocabulary word for the reminder of the year. This resource will help build that important foundational skills that they are needing to be successful. I am also able to link these to their own google classrooms to complete as a learning task.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hale

  • Brand New Year!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom. This Teacher Pay Teachers gift card has helped me and my students tremendously obtain engaging lessons to fuel our new curriculum. With this being a digital resource I was able to purchase around 6 items. Our favorite has been our year long science unit. We have currently finished our traits in inheritance unit. This provided us with student response journals, teacher manual, and digital slides per lesson. The kids have loved using these to meet our science standards.”

  • EGG-tastic Chicks!

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our 1st grade project! I believe my students are going to LOVE this project. We will be starting it within the month. I wanted it to be spring and after our planned animal habitat unit. Our 1st graders will be learning the life cycle of the baby chick. Along the way we are going to raise and hatch our own while learning about each process in their life cycle. This is going to show students how to care for something so precious and be proud of their learning by raising the chicks. They will remember this forever even into their adult years so thanks for making a core memory.”

  • Let's Save The Earth!

    Funded Aug 23, 2022

My students in the recycling club grades 4th and 5th were able to use our materials to make the earth a cleaner place! We have learned about recycling materials to make new items! We have been working on homemade recycled beeswax chapsticks and balms. We were able to share these with our staff members and board of education members in our school district! We have been working on recycling old, broken crayons into new ones for our school. We are planning on making recycled paper as well. With all of these steps we are doing is letting our school know that recycling can make a difference. They stop and ask if this is recyclable or not.”

  • Let's Recycle!

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

Thank you for your donations. We were able to supply each classroom with their own recycling trash can! We used these for bottles and cans to recycle. Each week the recycling club was able to collect the recyclables and then transferred them to larger cans. We then took those bags and our local waste management team would pick up the recyclables. The students really loved being involved which led to a recycling challenge! We were able to collect 80+ bags of bottles and cans to be recycled. So thank you for making a change in our students way of thinking with the environment.”

  • Real World Connections Through Reading!

    Funded Aug 19, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations! My first graders have been able to connect their reading to real life situations through their scholastic funding. We love to see the different magazines that we are able to receive each month. Our skills that we focus on in these magazines are endless. We become skilled readers, we look for key details, main idea of the articles and use connections within our issues of math and science resources. We are able to access one magazine per week and then the students are able to take those home and share with their own families.”

  • Digital Resources

    Funded Nov 15, 2020

Our classroom is so thrilled to be using our scholastic resources! We have been hybrird and during that time I was able to connect my students through their online platform. This allowed the students to read the article, watch the video and complete any activities that were associated with the article. My students really love scholastic and reading about the different events and such that occur each month. They really send some amazing articles that co-inside with what I am teaching during the month. The favorite thing my students like is them being able to take the articles with them and being able to share those with their families.”

  • Reading in the Real World

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you so much for believing in my classroom and my students! They truly love reading and seeing the connections in their real life around them! Reading is such an important part of their lives and this will be making them better readers.

We have been using these on Fridays as our reading lesson for the day. Each student gets the magazine and we do a classroom read aloud. With each lesson we get the online resources. This allows us to have access to read alouds, videos, online games and interactive quizzes we take together.

"Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader"”
