  • Enrichment Engineering for Gifted Gurus

    Funded Jul 23, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations to our gifted program. Our program is entering its second year, and we are in desperate need of supplies. Your donations help to make our program novel and exciting for our gifted students.

We received the STEM building materials and continue to utilize them in our Gifted Enrichment Club each week. Students were excited to unbox the new magnetic building tiles, the Plus-Plus blocks, wooden blocks, and the Straw Building set and get to creating. The next step is to continue growing our program in student enrollment and supplies. I appreciate your help!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors and 3 other donors.
  • Gifted Games

    Funded Apr 17, 2024

My students and I use the new classroom resources as part of our Gifted Enrichment Pull-Out Program. I meet with students twice a week to work on critical thinking skills. The games Qwirkle, Kanoodle, Guess in 10, Swish, and Word-A-Round help students build divergent and convergent thinking skills in a fun and collaborative way that challenges them.

Students were very excited to unbox the brand-new materials. Our gifted program is new so we are starting from scratch regarding resources and your generous donations are helping our program grow. Thank you for helping our gifted students thrive!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

  • Gifted Games for Enrichment

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. My students and I are using the games during our Gifted Enrichment Club each week as well as during our Fun Friday time. These are both times during the week when we focus on social skills such as being good winners and good losers as well as collaborating with peers in a non-academic way.

Students were very excited to unbox the new games and learn how to play. Our next step for social-emotional learning in our self-contained gifted classroom is to provide a choice of games as now we have an ample amount for students to choose from each week.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

  • Give Us a Sign

    Funded Mar 29, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to our "Give Me a Sign" project. Your donations made a community service project possible for our gifted magnet middle school students. Students were able to bring their idea of hallway and classroom signage to fruition through the DonorsChoose materials to complete their service learning project that positively impacted our campus.

The students were so excited when they first saw the materials after they unboxed them and they were also grateful that there are people who see the value in their ideas. This project will have a lasting impact on how our students see the world as they realize that they can be changemakers. Thank you for your help in making their ideas become a reality!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and one other donor.
  • Breakout of the Boring

    Funded Nov 11, 2022

Thank you for donating to our "Breakout of the Boring" Donors Choose project. This allowed the gifted self-contained program to obtain two more Breakout Edu kits to now have a total of 8 kits. Having enough of these kits allows us the opportunity to infuse our lessons with novel, critical thinking activities that encourage cooperation and collaboration.

Without your help these itesm would not be possible to purchase. Because of your generousity we are able to provide gifted enrichment that captivates our gifted students in grade 6-8. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

  • Unlock Learning

    Funded Oct 10, 2022

Thank you for giving my students access to both hands-on BreakoutEdu kits as well as a year's subscription to the digital platform. My students use critical thinking to solve the puzzles and breakout of the locked kits.

The most exciting thing about these kits is that they are so diverse and I can reuse them for years to come with different puzzles for any content area.

My gifted students need novelty and experience with activities that allow them productive struggle and collaboration with their peers. Thank you for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

  • Unlocking Learning

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to our project. Having access to both hands-on materials from Breakout EDU as well as to the online platform enables me to give my gifted students extensions and enrichment opportunities they would not get if it weren't for your help.

The most exciting part of the Breakout EDU boxes is the collaborative, hands-on materials that students get to interact with by opening up the locks after solving the clues. Having this material helps to reinforce concepts and extend learning in a novel way for gifted students.”

  • Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead: Hands-On Enrichment Materials

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

Students are using the new resources during Gifted Enrichment Club before school to engage in divergent and creative thinking tasks.

When students first saw the materials they were so excited to open the brand new boxes and be the first ones to use the BrainBlox, Magnatiles, and straw connectors to build.

The next steps for my students with this project is to make these materials available for a campus Makerspace using the science lab. Being able to provide open-ended materials to our gifted learners is so important for student engagement and creativity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Belden

  • Gifted Go-Getters

    Funded Apr 17, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations to my project Gifted Go-Getters. Your donations allowed me to purchase all of the necessary materials for my Gifted Enrichment Club. My students were so excited to unbox the brand new materials and get their hands on the new learning tools. My next steps for Gifted Enrichment Club is that now that my school will be back in person this fall, I will hold club meetings once a week for all identified gifted students on our campus. This allows students to have a space and a place to be with other gifted learners to just be themselves while working on creative and critical thinking skills.”

    With gratitude,
