I am hoping to fill my classroom library with books about people of color. Children need to see themselves in the books they read and 100% of of my students are African American or Hispanic. I have several books already but you can never have too many!! Because my students come from low-income families, I am certain they will appreciate having supplies and reading materials that will enhance our activities everyday. I do not want to clutter our classroom with unnecessary things so I have been careful to select things that will be used regularly!
