My student population is very diverse: foreign language speakers, students with special accommodations, students with difficulty in their lives, and students with different math backgrounds. Day by day, I was able to get to know them, teaching them and guiding them through their first year in high school. Coming from different backgrounds, it was hard initially to teach them, engage them, arrange activities accessible for everyone, and keep them focused and active in the classroom. I continuously talk to them about a better future and I see their eagerness to work hard for a better life.
