Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Funded Aug 27, 2022I moved to a new school this year not knowing what to expect. As at any school, some students bring lots of supplies and some students come with no supplies at all. I usually try to make up the difference and have lots of extra supplies on hand so those students who come with nothing can be given a nice collection of brand new school supplies of their very own so they can feel ready and loved to start a new school year on the right foot. I love that Donors Choose is available to teachers to supplement their classrooms with the things that kids need to thrive in school. Moreover, I love the generous donations from families, friends, and community members that make this possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
With gratitude,

I appreciate you more than you know. I’ve used these binders with second graders so I’m excited to see how my 4th graders will benefit.”

Funded Apr 30, 2015I wanted to give all of you a warm thank you on behalf of myself and my second grade students. Many of you who donated to fund this project had children in my class before we received our three IPads in the mail. Even though that current class did not get to take advantage of this fabulous use of technology, my current class is really experiencing the benefit of their technology.
In my current classroom, we only have two computers available for student use. The IPads that were so generously donated to us now provide us with a total of five computers to use in class. My students use the IPads for taking AR tests and several academic programs like SuccessMaker Reading and Math, Xtra Math, and IReady. We also use them during center rotations. The students have learned how to work with QR codes, participate in Kahoot interactive lessons, and complete assignments using Nearpod.
My next goal for this year is to teach my students how to make PowerPoint presentations after completing research on chosen topics. My class is the envy of all other second grade classes at my school. I can't thank you again for your generosity in helping making this goal come true for us.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cunningham
