Gingerbread Fun
Funded Nov 21, 2023As you can probably see from the photos, these gingerbread houses were a blast to make. I truly enjoyed the community feel in our classroom while we worked together to make our structures. Students were very creative when designing and they definitely enjoyed eating some of the candy along the way. Students supported one another and the classroom was filled with laughter all day long. It was such a fun way to send our students to their Winter Break.
Donors, you make my classroom a better place. Your support allows us to have so many opportunities we otherwise would not have. Your support of this particular project helped to create a lifelong, positive memory of school. You are truly appreciated. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Oct 31, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our project to have bluetooth speakers in our school holiday store. These are always one of the first items to go and students often ask for the speakers long after they are gone. Students can use these speakers as gifts to give or gifts to keep. Most of our students opt to select items that their whole family can use. These speakers are very popular for that reason. It's always encouraging to know that these gifts are helping to facilitate family time.
Donors, your support has helped my students to "purchase" gifts for their families, all while working to earn points and meet their goals. Thank you for helping to teach this very important lessons to my students. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Oct 11, 2023Thank you yet again for another wonderful holiday season with my students. Our students were once again excited for the opportunity to shop at our points-based school holiday store. The sports equipment was a huge hit and one of the first things we sold out of. The soccer balls were especially popular this year. The sports equipment is beneficial in two ways; students work hard to meet their goals to earn points to shop, and students receive a health benefit from playing with the equipment. It truly is a win-win for everyone.
I do wish I would have taken more pictures. This year, I am teaching a new College and Career Readiness class. This is the first year that my students ran every aspect of the store. In trying to be available at all times for my students, I neglected to take pictures and for that, I am sorry.
Donors, you are absolutely the best. My students, their families, our staff, and our community all have better resources thanks to you. Your partnership with our school has created immeasurable joy and learning opportunities. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Mrs. Batdorf

Funded May 25, 2023Thank you for supporting my students! The gimbal stabilizer for iPhone helps students to create content in a way that looks professional and remains smooth. Additionally, the app helps students to edit their content in a way that is seamless and well developed. Students can even select a person or item for the camera to track. This helps our videos to look professionally done and encourages students to want to do more. Students feel so successful that they are encouraged to keep creating.
Donors, you have done so much for my students and I cannot thank you enough. You are truly the best. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Student Voice Matters
Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you so much for donating a mobile desk, wireless mouse, and wireless keyboard. These items allow students to control our presentation board when they are presenting their ideas, projects, and proposals. Our class focuses a lot on student leadership and honoring the voices of our students. The mobile desk and wireless devices help students to move anywhere in the room while sharing the information they have gathered/created. Having students practice presenting to others will help them to find their voice and improve various areas within our school and community.
Donors, you do so much to support my students. Thank you for recognizing the importance of their ideas and for giving them the opportunity to share with others. Donors, you are the best! As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Aug 20, 2023Thank you for supporting our project so that we can start the year off right. The table organizers have helped students to have access to the supplies that they need. The colorful journal pens and pencils allow students to create projects that are more meaningful and are easier to commit to memory. The Kleenex tissues have been a necessary item in our class and they help to keep us healthy. The cord organizer creates an environment where students don't need to worry about tripping over chords. This makes our classroom safe and tidy. Finally, the whiteboard erasers and cleaner have helped to keep our surfaces free from smudges.
Donors, you have done so much to help my students. I truly cannot thank you enough for the support that you give. My classroom space is a safe, creative, and welcoming space thanks to your support. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Mar 15, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our project. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the pretzels and goldfish, although they were incredibly useful. At the very end of last school year, we had to go on lockdown and I had just received this shipment. While I intended for the snacks to be used this year, I was glad to have them during the lockdown. We were unable to leave our room for a few class periods. The snacks made that much easier on my hungry middle schoolers. We used the cups to both hold the snacks and to distribute water (although not too much because we didn't know when we would be able to use the restroom).
The other items have been very useful to start this year. The mints are used when students have a stomachache, headache, or if they just need a pick-me-up. The band aids are somehow magical and make every cut, scrape, or bruise immediately better! The deodorant is great to have on hand for the days when my middle schoolers forget, or simply don't have access to deodorant at home. All of these items have a huge impact on the class environment. While they may seem small, it makes a big difference.
Donors, thank you so much for all that you do for my students. You are the best! As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Teaching Organization
Funded Aug 10, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our project. The file boxes have been a huge help with organizing student files and creating learning units. I've organized this new curriculum into themes/units and the files boxes have truly helped to organize materials. I know this will be especially helpful come next semester when we redo many of the same lessons, just with a new class of students. Students each have their own hanging file folder. Students can safely store their work in the folders. When ready, the folders are available for me to grade. This helps students to stay organized and learn how to be responsible.
Donors, you have done so much to help my students and I could not be more grateful. I truly appreciate all that you do to make my students feel important and valued. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Aug 7, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our project for Reset items. I was able to create a few spaces in the classroom for students to have access to resources to help when they need a reset. The pegboard in the back of the room has various kits that students can use to help calm them down. There are breathing activities, tracing cards, mazes, brain puzzles, and coloring sheets in that space. There is another space in the room with a stool next to our plants and an outdoor window. Students can go there if they need a quiet spot. Finally, the binders have additional resources for students for students to use. The binders have copies of calming activities that students can take with them to use as needed.
Donors, with your help, we have been able to create a safe, calm space for students. Students know that they are supported but they also know that they can independently take care of issues as well. Our students are learning how to manage their emotions in a way that is thoughtful, productive, and safe. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you! You are appreciated!”

Funded Aug 7, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our project to bring Post-Its and supplies to my students. In class, students use Post-its almost daily. We write down thoughts and ideas and save them for when the time is right. This way, students don't forget the amazing ideas that come to them. The highlighters and correction tape help us to manage our responses and help to keep us organized. The pencil dispenser is used every day. Having easy access to pencils saves time and resources. Finally, the Kleenex tissues are always in high demand. We have already gone through one set and we just opened our second.
Donors, you have done so much to help my students. We truly appreciate all that you do for us. It shows us that you think what we do matters and that you value our ideas and opinions. As always, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Mrs. Batdorf
