  • Write With Flair!

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

You are all have been so gracious with your donations! My students were so excited to have different writing tools to use in every subject. With the new highlighters, pens and the pencil pouches students will have various types of writing tools and a place to keep them safe. They will be used for writing, reading comprehension and math.

Students will use the highlighter to help look for key details in reading, they can edit and revise with their flair pens and have a colorful storage system to keep them safe. Thank you!”

Thank you so much for your generous donation. We are so excited to be able add the rectangular table into our classroom and be bale to use it many different ways. The students can use the space during group activities such as counting collections, art lessons, and group discussions. Up to 6 students are able to sit around the table!

They were so excited to receive the new table. I am able to build onto our classroom as I am trying to create a space where learners are able to engage and collaborate in groups.”

  • For The Love of Art!

    Funded May 26, 2021

My students and I are grateful for your generous contribution towards our classroom. Some of the project was unable to be fulfilled but we were able to find a replacement with some cushions that the students absolutely love.

We are using the oil pastels for different art lessons. It is so much fun to see the students being able to use different art tools that are not common in our school. They are enjoying the oil pastels. They are also loving the cushions. They are ble to use them for various activities throughout the day.”

  • Endless fun with the OgoDisk!

    Funded May 28, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation! Unfortunately we were not able to receive our initial project BUT we were able to replace it with books! Books are always needed in every classroom. I was able to add new books from various genres that included the student's interest.

The students will be able to read these books during reading workshop as well as be able to check them out to take home and read on their own time. Students have even asked to return after their lunch time because they would rather read the new books than play! Thank you for making an impact on my student's lives.”

  • Bind Up Our Language Arts Activities!

    Funded Jul 17, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! The students have been a great contribution to our classroom. They are using their binders to keep all of their language arts and ELD materials. It has been a great organization and space saver. The students are able to keep all of their reading needs in in one place.

The students were so happy to know that they would have a brand new binder to help them keep their reading materials. Not only will it help them stay organized but they are able to carry one thing back and forth from school to home.”

  • Helping Reduce the Spread of Germs!

    Funded May 28, 2021

My students and I were delighted upon receiving the different disinfecting materials. We have been using them on a daily basis. The students and myself have been using the small bottles of hand sanitizer every time we are in the classroom. They are stored next to each student in their materials bin so that it can be easily available to each student. The students have also been able to take a bottle and have a pack of wipes with them to use during the after school program or at home. I am also able to wipe all the tables and the hight traffic areas that need cleaning with the lysol wipes. Having all of these different materials to us have made our classroom feel safe!”

  • READ All About It!

    Funded Nov 22, 2019

Thank you so much for the variety of books that you have added to our classroom library. The genre that we were lacking in our classroom now has more of a selection and students can now have more of a choice.

Students will enjoy these books during independent reading time at school or be allowed to read them at home. They can also write a book review to showcase the great learning that came from reading the book(s). Not only will these books support the students' love for reading but it will support learning and could be used as a source when writing informational texts.

Students who prefer reading nonfiction books will truly benefit from these books! Thank you!”

  • Working Round

    Funded Feb 3, 2018

We are grateful for the wonderful donations that you have contributed to us. When the new seats arrived and I placed them into our flexible seating option, the students could not wait to try them out and they are loving the comfy seats and cushions. The students are able to use the new seats during independent reading time, partner reading and/or group work. They love that two of the seats are able to recline and as a bonus I am loving the fact that they are so easy to maneuver and store when they are not in use. The cushions add an extra bounce to the students who need the movement during independent work time. The seats are AMAZING!”

I have a curious and highly-motivated group of third graders. They are hard working and are excited to learn something new. I teach in an inner city public school in South Los Angeles. It is a Title I school, which means the majority of students are from low-income families. Their eagerness to learn can be a challenge, but with your help I can help provide opportunities for them.
