  • Sturdy Supplies

    Funded Jun 12, 2022

My students have been enjoying using sturdy resources around the room. We have used the laminating sheets to create reading centers, math centers, vocabulary words for our interactive word wall, labels around the classroom that help us locate items we needs for our lessons and many more activities that are facilitating our learning.

I have been able to create a 'Go Home' binder that also provides parents with ideas and activities to practice decoding and high frequency words. Parents are truly fascinated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • A Teacher with Flair!

    Funded Oct 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation you will provide me to use in my classroom this year. These supplies will help me and my students maintain organized throughout the school year. We code parts of speech using various colors. I cannot wait to share pictures with you all.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • Fluent Readers

    Funded Jan 7, 2022

Thank you for your continuous generous donations to help our classroom have all the necessary resources to achieve mastery. During this project my goal was to provide my students with at level books. By providing us with these books, my students are able to practice their reading during transitions/breaks. For example, when we go to the restroom students take a book to read while they wait, if they finish their work early they read a book and during our guided reading station. They enjoy seeing how they move up a level/color.”

  • Gathering Our Math Tools!

    Funded Sep 22, 2021

Thank you for providing me with resources to teach my students with. They are displayed throughout the classroom. When doing whole group instructions I use them so that they can use them during independent practice and small groups.

The books are also a great way to start our lessons. Students get to listen to the stories that relates to the concept before exploring and applying their knowledge. After listening to them, they are placed in our reading center where they are able to access them and read them during stations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • Interactive Journals

    Funded Nov 19, 2021

Thank you all for your generous donation.

Since providing my students with these resources they have been eager to work in their journals. We continue to master our coloring, cutting and glueing skills. We also work on following step by step instructions as everyday the content is different and requires various skills such as folding, combining and writing.

Our journals have grown tremendously over the weeks. Students use them to continue mastering our weekly learning target.

Once more thank you for supporting my students learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • Hands-on Math Tools!

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

We would like to thank you for your generous donation in helping us have access to these math tools. After explicitly teaching them in a whole group, then in small group, we have been able to integrate them in our daily activities and centers.

We have used them during our counting forward and backward lessons, composing and decomposing lessons, skip counting lessons, and many others.

The Rekenrek is a hands-on tool that students are able to use to visually see the process of the math concept.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • Mastering our Kindergarten Goals

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

My students had so much fun using all the new resources. They were engaged, practice social skills, motivated each other and helped each other practice beginning sounds, vocabulary, number recognition, and addition.

My ELLs were eager to receive a few English resources to apply their letter-sound recognition.

As a teacher, this is what motivates me to continue doing these projects to provide for them as much as I can. None of this can continue to happen without donors like you that keep giving to our children in diversity classrooms. Thank you for the continuous support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

  • At home centers!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

I would like to thank each and one of you for taking the time to donate to my project.

Although this school year came with many struggles, this project gave my classroom the opportunity to be provided with activities, centers, and resources to have at home and in the classroom.

With the ink provided, I was able to print letter tiles, whichhelped us combine the constants and vowels to for syllables, and resource sheets. Then, I proceeded to laminating them for more durability. Throughout the school year all of the material provided, helped my students meet their end of the year goals.”

    With gratitude,

  • Modeling for my Kindergartners

    Funded Sep 10, 2020

I would like to thank everyone for your generous donation. When I received the OSMO we were still having at home virtual classes. I was able to project/screen mirror the activities, therefore they were able to follow along with me as if we were in the classroom. We felt even more connected. Once we returned to the classroom, we use it as a center, either during small group instruction or during recess. Students are so engaged and excited to use it.

Thank you again for your continuous donations to all of the teachers and their projects. It truly has a positive impact in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moreno

The supplies will give my students the opportunity to feel like we are in our classroom, using materials that they would use once we are able to return. I would love for my students to receive the items in the backpack and provide them with materials because I would not want them to be disengaged due to a lack of resources at home. I would like to provide my students with writing tools such as; crayons, markers, color pencils, and jumbo pencils. Also, whiteboards, Primary Journals, Write and Wipe books and clear insert sheets where they will be able to continue developing their handwriting skills. The manipulatives will give the students the hands on learning they need. The students will use these math tools to help them solve the problems that are being mastered. They will also use the magnetic letters to practice letter and sound recognition with their own sets of magnetic letters.
