My class is very diverse. From economic status to ethnicity, my class consists of many levels of readers from many cultural backgrounds. But one way to connect us all is through reading. Our school is made up of 17 different home languages and each year I have at least 3-4 different languages spoken in my classroom. Some are beginning to learn English, others have little grasp of English, and still others exceed 4th grade reading level. With this being said, I believe they all can develop the love of reading if they have a solid grasp of the English language through reading and writing it. Our class needs a way to keep all these reading materials organized so that reading time "overjoys" us!
