    Funded Mar 6, 2025

Thank you so, so much for helping with our Caring Cart + STEM wonder project! Because of you, our students not only feel cared for, but they also get to explore and create with some seriously cool new stuff.

First off, restocking the Caring Cart with hygiene items has been a quiet game-changer. Some of our students really rely on it, and now they don't have to stress or feel embarrassed—they know it's there if they need it. They LOVED the body spray and when I share that it is all for them they are always so grateful and thankful for the items that they have available to them.

The STEM materials you helped fund have been such a hit with the kids. They've been especially excited about the resin specimens and Snap Circuits—it's been so fun watching them get hands-on and dive right in. They're exploring, building, asking questions, and just genuinely having a good time learning. It's that kind of curiosity and excitement that makes all the difference.

Our STEM Center is a space where students feel welcome, supported, and excited to learn. Some kids come in to build, others come just to reset or feel a sense of belonging—and no matter why they show up, this project helped make it a space that meets their needs and feeds their imagination.

Your kindness and support mean more than you know. You didn't just donate supplies—you helped us create a space full of heart, creativity, and possibility.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arguelles

  • Move, Play, Learn: Exploring Fitness With Virtual Reality

    Funded Mar 9, 2025

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Because of your generous support, we now have not one but TWO VR headsets for students to use and explore! It has been an absolute game-changer.

I have had a great turnout of students during our Makerspace lunchtime but the VR sets have really created a buzz and I have even more students coming into the STEM Center wanting to try this new addition to our awesome space. Students are working together to get the VR sets to work and are being cooperative and supportive as they are waiting to use the sets. Students are moving and enjoying physical activity and I speak to them about the importance of being active. We also have a walking pad in our STEM Center and students often use that while they wait their turn for the VR sets. Students always comment on how they love the room and all of the activities that I have to offer and that is due to the help and support from donors like you.

Thank you for believing in our students and making this experience a reality. Your kindness and support are making a real, lasting difference—and we're so grateful.”

  • Amigurumi Adventures in STEM

    Funded Feb 4, 2025

Wow—thank you so much for making this amigurumi project possible! Because of your generosity, my students now have the chance to dive into the world of crochet, turning yarn and creativity into the cutest little handmade creatures. They are beyond excited to learn this new skill, and it's all thanks to you!

This project started with a passionate 5th grader who wanted to share her love for crocheting with her classmates, and now, thanks to your support, her idea is coming to life in the best way. With every stitch, students are building patience, problem-solving skills, and confidence—not to mention creating some seriously adorable amigurumi!

Your kindness is making such a difference in our STEM Center, giving students the tools to explore, create, and maybe even discover a new lifelong hobby. Thank you for believing in them and for making this experience possible. We can't wait to show off their squishy, handmade masterpieces!”

  • Tinker, Test, Triumph: The Rube Goldberg Challenge!

    Funded Jan 24, 2025

The Rube Goldberg Challenge has officially begun, and the excitement is off the charts! The moment students saw the supplies, their faces lit up with curiosity and wonder. Their minds immediately started buzzing with ideas, and the STEM Center has been filled with laughter, creativity, and those incredible moments of discovery. One of my 5th graders comes to the STEM Center any chance he gets, and I asked him if he would help me make a model for other students to see. He agreed and got started right away looking at all the materials and thinking of what he could create. He decided to set up the dominoes to spell out STEM. The kids that are regulars have been my biggest promoters!! This particular student has taken a great interest in all the items we have in STEM and is always willing to try a new challenge. He always amazes me with his creativity and ideas.

It's truly amazing to watch them dive in—experimenting, problem-solving, and bringing their wildest ideas to life. They're not just having fun; they're discovering the magic of STEM in ways that wouldn't have been possible without your generosity.

Because of you, our students have the opportunity to tinker, create, and dream big. From all of us at the STEM Center, thank you for believing in hands-on learning and inspiring the next generation of innovators!”

  • Powering STEM Learning One Step at a Time!

    Funded Dec 25, 2024

After a long wait, the walking pad has finally arrived—and the students were absolutely shocked to see it! Some of my 8th grade girls were hanging out in the STEM Center during lunch as I unboxed the walking pad. They were surprised to see it and were immediately interested in trying it! Their excitement was contagious, and it's already sparking so many great conversations about movement, energy, and technology.

About a year and a half ago, I started my weight loss journey, and the students have definitely noticed! They keep asking me what I did, which has led to some great conversations about health, movement, and balance. I always remind them that small choices add up—staying active and making mindful food choices.

Now, with the walking pad in our STEM Center, they have a new way to move while they learn! It's been great seeing their excitement and helping them understand that staying active isn't just about workouts—it's about making movement a fun and natural part of their day. I love encouraging them to find their own ways to stay healthy, and this is just one more step in the right direction!

It's amazing to see them not only having fun but also making connections between STEM and everyday life. This wouldn't have been possible without your generosity, and we're so grateful for your support. You've truly made a difference in their learning experience!”
