I am a Special Education Transition Teacher and my students receive their individualized services (academic,speech,OT/PT) in the self-contained classroom based on their specific needs and also spend time in special class (arts,swimming,physical education and music). The school demographic serves most to low-income household and received free or reduced lunch. My school environment is very warm, welcoming and student centered as well as family-centered. My students feel safe and at-ease that they come to school everyday enthusiastically to learn, to be independent in living, experience community service guided to be a young adult, and chose to achieve their academic and career goals. My students deserved what is best in education, to be contributing citizen, and I will do my best to meet and achieve that economic-educational gap. With YOUR help on funding my projects WE are supporting my students dreams come true.
