  • Take a Look in a Book

    We have been using the Listening Center materials for a little over a month and the students have loved it! They are able to listen to the literature we love, every day in the listening center. They have done a great job with keeping our materials safe and secure.

    They have loved getting to listen to a story and share their thoughts about the story. The students are able to rate the book, on a 1-5 star scale. Then they give a review of the story. I really enjoy getting to see what they think of each story, what was their favorite part, and if they would like to listen to the story again.

    Overall, I have to say THANK YOU to the amazing donor that fulfilled our request. Because of you, our classroom is better than it was before.”

  • Centers Made Easy!

    We have been using the Center Chart, Lakeshore Learning Games, and Magnetic Letters for a little over a month and we have loved it! The students really needed help from the Center Chart and the Lakeshore Games and Magnetic Letters have positively impacted their learning.

    The student have been so appreciative of the Center Chart. One student has been assigned to switching our center chart at the end of each center. They students can easily see what center they should be in, who is in their center, and where they will need to go next. I rarely have a student ask what center they should be in.

    They have also really enjoyed the Lakeshore Learning Games and Magnetic Letters. These learning tools have been used in their Word Work Center. They are able to work on their spelling words and phonics skills, just to name a few uses. I've seen a lot on improvement in their work by using these tools.

    Overall, I'm so grateful for the donations to our classroom and can't begin to thanks the donors enough! We have been truly blessed and our classroom is better because of the donors.”

  • iCan Do It!

    We have been using the iPads for a little over a month and we have used them every day! My students have truly loved getting to work with the iPads. They have shown how responsible they can be and have taken great care of the iPads. I think that I'm most impressed with how they are learning, working, and enjoying the iPads.

    They have showed me amazing ways they can learn with the iPads. They have used them in centers to work on math, sight word apps, and spelling apps. Their favorite app has been Sushi Math. They have challenged each other to see who can get the most points. They also love finding fun apps to play with each other.

    They have been working very hard with Accelerated Reader. They love to take tests on the iPads and try to reach their point goals. I think they like using the iPads because they can find a quiet spot in the classroom to concentrate. As opposed to the desktop in our classroom, which is in the front of the room where all the other students travel.

    Overall, I'm so thankful for the help that the donations have given us. We don't have much in our classroom but the iPads have helped to give us a little more normalcy in our room.”
