I would describe my students as typical Seventh Graders, most of whom live in San Francisco. They describe themselves slightly differently: -"We are book-loving monks who deserve better reading material!" -"We are funny, crazy flying monkey punks who pray for our Buddha, the Big R." -"We read like crazy and we go through books fast...we are the best students ever in the whole universe! In the whole of eternity" -"We have crazy imaginations and ideas...some kids say things that no one else would imagine" -"Persistent, modern, nerdsome gamers who are crazy, funny, knowledgeable and funky" -"The other students in my class are honest, friendly, smart, hardworking...I couldn't think of a better class. We are family. Seriously." -"We are joyful and lighthearted, but we are missing something- books...and sky-diving classes." On their school: -"The biggest, baddest school of bad mamajamas. Yee-yuh" -"I attend a school full of amazing spell-casting teachers"
