Our Perris, CA school is the Railway Magnet School of Math, Science, and Technology - first, newly adopted magnet school program in the district. Let me give you a brief description of my 4th grade classroom and school. Our school is in a low social economic area with 91% of our school receiving free or reduced breakfast/lunch. The demographics are: 86% Hispanic, 7% African-American, 6% Caucasian, 1% Other. 57% of our students are English Language Learners. Only about 22% of our parents have taken a college/vocational class and about 4% have a college degree.
