Everything is Better in Color
Funded Oct 12, 2021I'm so grateful that you could fund a printer for us. Little did I know just how much of a pleasure it is to have one. There are many times already that its come in clutch. From the time I didn't have enough copies of an assignment to the time my students lost the copy of the assignment. During parent teacher conferences, I was able to print a form last minute to have my parents sign. Now during reading and math center rotations, I can print from school the stations and items that students will be using. I love this project! :)”

Rock Your School
Funded Sep 29, 2021Today was the day! We ROCKED OUR SCHOOL! It was so cool to transform the classroom into the ultimate rock concert! Thanks to you we were able to create the best atmosphere possible! Students were able to do many incredible things! They broke down lyrics into text structure categories. In math, they factored and multiplied groups of bands. As scientists, they built drums to learn about force and speed. In the mix of it, they rocked around the room to learn details about every decade. This will be a day they remember for a long time!”

Scholastic Storyworks
Funded Sep 2, 2021I know I say this, butttttt I'll say it again, this is my new favorite project. Using Scholastic Storyworks has been a reading dream come true! The students don't want to stop reading them, meanwhile I'll gladly keep teaching through these incredible magazines. The magazines are great for my readers, but what's even better is the online digital resources that come with the subscription. I underestimated that aspect. There are endless (seriously) resources just waiting to be tapped into online that are fun and cover the standards. These magazines cover a range of standards and genres all in a single issues. I LOVE THEM! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

iPads for Education
Funded Sep 14, 2021Do you see the smiles in the photos?! Do you see the fun my students are having?! Do you see the learning happening?! Thanks to you, we're able to capture these forever moments on our ipad. The iPad, although originally was in conjunction with the green screen project, is actually being used for more than that. Students want showcase their work their on it and send it to their parents. On top of that, they have more ideas for it. Instead of paper pencil, they want to hold each other accountable using an app in the iPad. How cool! Like the green screen project, this one just coming to life and I'm really excited!”

Maximize Math Manipulatives!
Funded Jul 15, 2021I have a very intelligent class this year. That means for us two things. 1. They pick on things quickly, which leads them to getting bored and 2. To push them, having more hands on, challenging, collaborative and independent activities are going to be important. That's where this project came in clutch. My mathematicians now are engaged in their math learning and actually prefer less computer time and more of these "games". (They're not actually games...but they feel like it.) My mathematicians are having fun learning and practicing their multiplication and division thanks to you!”

Lights, Camera, Green Screen!
Funded Sep 13, 2021This incredible green screen idea is just beginning its life in our classroom and the students are loving it. In part because of 3 projects we did, we were able to use it to showcase our flying lunch count models. We also learned to not wear our green vests in front of the green hints why you aren't seeing the actual photo because... some kids are now ghosts (my bad LOL), but that's what makes learning fun and why I remind them adults are learning daily too! I envision this project to keep growing: book talks, to showing the weather, to weekly announcements. Thank you for funding this gigantic green screen. It's incredible!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Clorox and 9 other donors.Ms. Frizzles Ultimate Magic School Bus Experience!
Funded Sep 17, 2021Inspired by Ms. Frizzle, I created a construction zone atmosphere this week inside our classroom. I 'hired' students, I mean engineers, to construct an object out of 1 white paper, 4 straws, and endless tape that could carry our lunch count to the cashier. The goal: Fly their object the furthest. My engineers put on their vests, goggles, and hard hats and worked in teams to create a plan, then prototypes to test and reamp their models. Engineers learned many important social, emotional, and academic skills because of this. Thanks for us create the Magic School Bus atmosphere in our classroom...I mean construction zone.”

2021- 2022 Classroom Supplies
Funded Sep 29, 2021Thank you for the first round of school supplies. The amount of money I spend is out of control and with your help, now I can save money and give my students and myself the supplies we need to successful. Pens, poster markers are more costly than I ever thought. I go through them fast and furiously. The favorite item from this set, definitely the stickers. I don't give out typical stickers, I give out stickers that students want: from Pokemon to Disney to their favorite brands, students go crazy over these stickers and work hard to earn them. Thank you for supporting our classroom. You are the absolute best!”

Blast Off... with Science!
Funded Aug 16, 2021Thank you for supporting my scientists! They are loving it...and that's an understatement! I receive a complimentary science related text once a week...it's insane. We haven't used all the items in this project yet, but the Play-Doh and Slime has come in clutch to teach about physical and chemical changes during the science unit we're currently on. From the lab coats in the previous project to the items in this project, the students don't want to miss a day of science. They even schedule their appointments around our science block. Thank you for supporting the next generation of scientists!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Osmo and 4 other donors.Play Ball!
Funded Sep 14, 2021This project has been a MAJOR SUCCESS! The project has changed the way we look and play at recess not just for our class, but for others as well. When other classes saw our new equipment they saw the fun we were having. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd be flying a drone at outdoor recess and in our classroom. RC cars racing around outside, tiny moon balls bouncing high in the sky, and students playing sporting games with each other at recess. This project has honestly brought us closer together as a class and for that I'm forever grateful for every single one of you. Thank you for supporting us. They love this project!”
