My name is Mike Patterson. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in Physical Education and Special Education. This will be my second year at CLA and I am hoping to give the students at CLA the Physical Education that they deserve to live a active, and healthy lifestyle. CLA is an alternative high school serving grades 9-12 in Denver, Colorado's inner city. CLA helps students who have otherwise been unsuccessful in "traditional" high schools. CLA helps these students by offering smaller class sizes and more one on one support to ensure success for all of our students. My goal for this page is to raise enough money to give our students at CLA Heart Rate Monitors, and Pedometers so our students will learn how to use data points in our PE class, and during exercise.
