Our school district has gotten a grant and is now going one-to-one, and just in time, as we have needed to switch to a full virtual format for this school year. Everyone is working to make sure we are engaging the students to continue learning without instruction, but a virtual only format has it's limitations. Help my students get through long days on devices with blue light filtering lenses that prevent eye strain. One of the biggest challenges is going to be making sure the students are still able to focus at the end of the day, but that isn't easily done if the students are fatigued, or have a headache from the device that they are using to learn! These glasses will go to the students at home to be used with their devices. One of the most difficult things that I have had to teach virtually is math. Writing with a mouse is difficult to be accurate, and typing equations with the proper formatting takes too long to keep the students engaged. A tablet pen will help me with quickly writing and editing on our virtual whiteboard. In addition, I can use it to quickly make notes and comments on student work.
