Bring Learning to Life Through Photos and Videos
Funded Jul 21, 2023I am writing this letter to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to our school. Your donation has helped us purchase a lighting set for our video studio, which will significantly benefit our students in their academic and creative pursuits.
As an instructional technologist at Peach County High School, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the impact of your donation. The new lighting set has transformed our video studio into a more professional-grade space, providing us with the tools we need to produce high-quality videos. This equipment will allow students to explore a variety of creative ideas and express themselves in ways that were previously impossible.
Your donation has not only improved the quality of student education but also opened up new opportunities for projects. We now have the chance to learn and practice skills that are highly sought after in the film and media industry. This will undoubtedly benefit our students in the future.

The Final Brick - Help Build a Love of Reading

Tools for Success
Funded Dec 25, 2019One of the most difficult topics we discuss in my class is the writing of chemical formulas and the names of compounds. The magnetic periodic table cards, along with the charges, have given my students the opportunity to get hands-on with writing their formulas and chemical names. Because they include the oxidation numbers, it has also helped them remember the charges that the different elements possess. These items will help me in my classroom for years to come.
Often, it is difficult to provide each student with a calculator when they need them. Now, I have a class set and all students will have a calculator when they calculate speed, velocity, specific heat capacity, etc. I truly appreciate your help!”

Bringing Learning to Life Through Labs and Experiments!
Funded Dec 8, 2016First, let me thank you for the supplies you helped purchase. They have already made a difference in my classroom and you helped some really great students. Next, let me say that the students not only appreciate the supplies you've purchased, but they are also able to learn at a deeper level because of them.
Since receiving the supplies, we have completed a couple of activities. Luckily, we received the different rocks in the middle of our rocks and minerals unit. Because we had the specific rock types available, the students were able to view the differences between the three. Also, using the scales and the beakers, the students learned how to calculate the densities of the rocks and determine which type had a greater density than the others.
Towards the end of the year, I plan to continue using the supplies, but I will especially use the Sandwich Bag Science and STEM books to help create exciting activities when the students are ready to be out for summer. Keeping them engaged helps me keep them working hard and the supplies you helped purchase will go along way in doing that. My class and I truly appreciate your generosity!”

Chromebook for Continued Success
Funded Mar 8, 2016Wow! This Chromebook has made such a tremendous impact on the learning of my students, already. Daily, the kids use it for Kahoot!, which is an online game, that students absolutely love. Even better, students use the computer for research which is a must-needed skill as they progress through their academic careers.
The kids, even the ones I have just received for the 2016-2017 school year, absolutely love having the opportunity to use the Chromebook you provided for our classroom. It truly has an impact on the deep level of learning I expect from my students and allows them to be the facilitators of learning and me to watch them learn, on their own, with a smile on my face.
We truly appreciate your donations and you have no idea how much it means to be able to provide my students with another piece of technology to enhance their learning. As products of the 21st Century, it is imperative that my students have as much technology to learn as possible and you helped make this happen. Chromebooks to Make Our Learning Turn to Gold
Funded Aug 24, 2014In the classes that I teach, I am constantly searching for fun and creative ways to engage my students in their learning. In today's classroom, a lot of the engagement comes from technological devices. Since some of my students do not have devices they can bring from home, your donations helped me supply a couple more students with the opportunity to learn through the use of technology.
Additionally, your donations gave me another option when completing research and station activities in my classroom. As I'm sure you know, the research for teaching middle grades students suggests that students get up and move throughout their lessons, to increase learning. Your donations and the Chromebooks that were purchased with them allow me to set up stations for research and other learning activity that help my students stay engaged and have fun while they are learning the information that is required.
I truly appreciate your willingness to give to my classroom. My students are more than thankful and your contributions will payoff now and in the future!

Funded Nov 15, 2013It was an absolute honor to receive your donation to receive the five Nooks for use within my classroom. So far, we have used the Nooks at least two or three times per week. These Nooks have allowed my students to learn in interesting ways. Just today, we did an activity called Kahoot! and the Nooks were used to allow students to compete in a question and answer game. These Nooks have also provided students that may not be able to afford a device to have one in class.
When my students heard the news about the Nooks, they were absolutely ecstatic. I now have to have a drawing to see which of my students will be "in charge" of the Nooks when we use them in the classroom. The Nooks have also allowed my students to practice responsibility. I have two students in one of my classes that volunteered to charge the Nooks after use and help get them back in the closet to lock them up. These are two students that could become discipline problems, but, because they enjoy having the responsibility of taking care of the Nooks, they behave.
I am constantly trying to figure out new activities and lessons I can use with the Nooks. In the next couple of days, I'm going to try a new activity, using an app called Nearpod, to make the learning process a lot more engaging. Without your donations for the Nooks, this would not have been possible. My students and I truly thank you for your kind donations!”
