  • Classroom Supplies: Easel Paper, Magnetic Clips, and Disinfecting Wipes

    Thank you for the support! Students will be able to see, share, and contribute to in-class projects with easel paper and magnetic clips to hold up the paper! They will also have clean surfaces in the classroom to help prevent the (inevitable) spread of germs across the class. This all helps in small ways!”

  • Help Make My First Classroom Comfortable for Students

    The classroom rug is the center of learning in our classroom. Almost all of our instruction starts from the rug. Similar to the classroom rug, the rug pad allows students to spend more time, comfortably, on our classroom rug. I always incorporate movement breaks for students, but sometimes our lessons go a little longer than expected! Which means students have to sit on the rug longer than I would like. Thank you for your generous contributions to allow students to feel more comfortable during this rug time.

    Similarly, the mobile TV stand has allowed me to teach using Google Slides without having to wait for a work order from the district to both move our whiteboards and mount the TV on the wall. It also allows some flexibility in where students can access the slides. Having a direct connection to the main screen also allows us to watch videos to expand our learning or watch brain breaks to get some movement during our longer stretches of learning. Thank you again for the contribution to help our classroom!”

  • Help Replace My First Classroom's Rug

    Thank you so much for you contributions to my class! The classroom rug that you helped contribute funds to is now the center of our room. When we think of the "I do, we do, you do" model, I teach out our lessons from the front of the room to students sitting on the rug. I have students turn and talk with their rug partners, to allow opportunities to discuss their thinking, and then students leave to work independently or in partnerships and groups.

    The classroom rug is also the perfect space for me to work individually with students or in small groups. It allows me to let students work independently and have the small groups come to the front of the room and get individualized support.

    When I am not working in small groups, the rug is the perfect place for students to work or read comfortably with their classmates. Thank you for all of the support in getting us a tool that is central to our learning!”
