Exploring the World and Beyond!
Funded Aug 18, 2022I am so excited to know that such wonderful people stepped up to help my students be better scientists and junior historians. I can't thank each of you enough for your kindness and generosity. The flexible seating will make a huge difference for my students. I can not wait to see their faces when the supplies arrive but more importantly I can not wait to see the excitement on their faces when they realize they are going to embark on many educational journeys through time and space!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and 9 other donors.Future Mathematicians In The Making!
Funded Jun 22, 2021When I first saw that people had donated to my project, I was truly honored. The resources that we received truly changed the dynamic of my classroom this year. The resources proved to be extremely helpful during independent/group work as well as during my guided small group instruction. I found that creating math centers was essential to an engaging classroom. The games were extremely effective when used during follow-up activities. After my guided instruction, students had the opportunity to really practice what they learned and test their mastery of the skills by playing math games, brain teasers, and puzzles. They look forward to the challenges and it brought math to life through friendly competition and team work.
When the students first saw the resources, they were beyond excited. One student, Christian, couldn't believe his eyes. When he spotted the bingo games, he exclaimed "I play that with my grandpa!" He asked to share his experiences with the class and that began a meaningful conversation about family, meaningful moments, and real world connections. These are the moments that are irreplaceable. These are the moments that, thanks to the generosity of the donors, the students will always remember.
Having math centers in my classroom allowed students the choice to complete a particular task and engage in meaningful math discourse and discussion. These are moments they will take with them as they move on in their academic careers. Thank you donors for helping bring many laughs, fun, and excitement to my classroom this school year.”
With gratitude,
