I am hoping to get some programmable units that students can put their code into (such as a Sphero). Students are very interested in connecting the physical world of computing (hardware) with their understanding of coding (software). We are hoping to get some equipment for starting robotics at our school and develop a pathway for students to develop a strong understanding of computer science and software development, from a young age. Students are currently learning the foundational skills required to develop software that they can utilize in the real world. The goal and hope of this project is to inspire and create excitement in learning coding and computer science!
