    My project was fully funded thanks to the support of friends and family. I can’t tell you how much your support means to me. My students will be able to engage in new activities with their peers. The virtual reality experience will be a new but exciting experience for them.”

  • iPad for the Gym, Technology in Physical Education

    I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this project a reality for my students. Many children in my school fall below the poverty line and only have access to this type of technology in school. Having this iPad to use in the gym is another tool that I can use to keep my students engaged. We are trying to make every student physically literate, life-long physical activity seekers. With your help we are one step closer. This iPad will be used by the students to help with skill acquisition. The students will be able to watch videos that break down the skill being taught in real time. They will be able to practice the skill and come back to the video as many times as needed until they master what is being taught. Thank you again for providing this opportunity for my students!!”

    This classroom project was brought to life by CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and 10 other donors.
By using the iPad, my students will be able to see various physical education skills broken down by watching short videos that go along with each skill. Using QR ready skill cue cards along with the iPad, students in small groups will be able use technology to promote independent and peer learning. iPads engage students on many levels, they give confidence to students that are more tech savvy than they are athletes. The iPad will help bring the students together to learn by using technology in the gym. As a Title I school many of our students fall below the poverty line and will not be able to afford an iPad. The gym's iPad will be theirs, the students enrolled now and the students that will come in the future.
