Warm, Well-Fed, and Welcome
Funded Dec 22, 2021These items were extremely appreciated. I was able to distribute these items to students in need at my school site. Some of the items were kept in my classroom for students as needed, while others were given out to some of our students without housing via our school's unhoused coordinator. All of the items were extremely useful, especially those that helped to keep our students warm during the cold months.
Your generosity was and is always appreciated. You are directly contributing to the success of these young people.”

Funded Oct 17, 2022Our classroom finally has a full class set of scientific calculators! This is extremely necessary for our college preparatory physics students who need these items to solve their complex equations. Only a fraction of my students have the means to buy their own, so your donations are essential to my students' success in the classroom.
The carrying tote is also helpful so that our class can easily store and keep track of them in one place.
I cannot begin to express how much these items will enhance the educational experience for my students.”

And the Prints Go On...
Funded Jan 8, 2022Because of your generosity our 3d printer is upgraded with its new parts and we now have many many different colors of filament to choose from.
My students helped me take off all the different parts are reassemble them, which helps with their engineering skills. There are also learning how to change out filament and adjust temperatures based on their print results.
My students are looking forward to all the exciting opportunities they have to bring their imagination into 3 dimensions! Thank you for being a part of our classroom.”

Funded Oct 20, 2021The technology involved in this project allows for excellent timelapses of 3D prints which can sometimes take multiple days to complete. Also, remote monitoring of the prints is now possible so that students can check on their print projects. We even 3D-printer a case for the raspberry pi computer and an articulating arm to mount and position the camera. These advancements allow my students to build and create in a way hey have never been able to before .Thank you again for your compassionate support of my students.”

3-Dimensional Science
Funded Sep 30, 2021This project has already started to have a positive impact on my students' learning experience. They are excited to have new tools in the classroom, but they are also excited to learn how the process of 3D printing works. The spark of curiosity is exciting to see!
From the x, y, and z-axis to material melting points and content-level applications, 3D printing is an accessible way to meet students at their level. My students love being rewarded for their behavior by being allowed to select a 3D model to print. The 3D printer is also helpful for selecting parts of the curriculum to bring to life in 3 dimensions.
Your generosity will not only affect the 200 students I see this year but possibly thousands of students in the years to come. I hope you consider giving to some of my other projects in the future.”

Funded Jul 20, 2021The technology received is greatly improving the engagement of my students in the classroom. This is a new product that my students have never used before. The novelty of it is encouraging for my students and I.
The microscope lens connected to a computer allows for me as the teacher to quickly verify the contents of the microscope slide. My students are also able to quickly share their results via a wireless connection in my classroom. Their experiences will hopefully encourage my students to pursue biology beyond high school.
I am constantly humbled at the generosity of donors, like you, who choose to give freely via Donorschoose.org. This tool in particular is helping to bring my classroom up to date with current levels of technology that my students experience in their daily lives. Thank you, again, for your selfless gifts to my students.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Emerson Collective and one other donor.Make It Snappy !!!
Funded Jun 14, 2021My students are really enjoying the process of learning how atoms can combine to form molecules. The noise from the snapping magnets in the kits shows them that energy is released when chemical bonds form! The physical effort needed to pull the atoms apart shows them that energy is being used and added to the system. This concept can be very difficult for students to understand, which is why the Snatoms kits are such a valuable tool.
The first time I brought out the kits, the students loved exploring with the atoms and learning how the pieces fit together. Exploration is such an important part of learning and these kits help keep them motivated. They will soon begin constructing multiple different types of molecules and discovering the vastness of chemical compounds that exist!
Your donation is very much appreciated! I look forward to using the Snatoms X kits for many years to come, potentially impacting thousands of students. My students will now have an improved classroom experience thanks to your generosity.”

Funded Jan 21, 2020This wireless adaptability for the projector is a must-have for all classrooms! Our classroom is now the only room in the whole school that has a wireless projector, and the impact is felt by all my students.
This wireless HDMI adapter allows me and my student to instantly share a laptop image or video the screen in the front of the classroom. The students also are very thankful to be rid of all of the cords that previously traversed the floors.
The students are so grateful to be able to have more ease of movement within the classroom as well as being able to directly share their presentations to the front of the room. Some of my more technologically inclined students are happy to share their abilities with the other students, so it seems to also improve collaboration as well. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

Funded Nov 23, 2019Thank you so much for the chance to improve the education of my students. They do not get a chance very often to have "high-tech" features in their classrooms. The projector mount is something that makes them a little bit more excited to come to class knowing that they are being provided for.
They like that their classroom now feels more open without their teacher and the projector cart right in the front of the room. Also, they like that they can go up to the board to point to something without getting in the way of the image.
Some students that have especially warmed to this new feature of this classroom are those that do not enjoy as much verbal communication but would rather primarily share their work via the screen. They like the ability to just instantly share their images to the screen at the front of the room”
