  • May The Force Be With You

    Funded Dec 1, 2011

Words cannot express my gratitude to all of you for partnering with my classroom and me. I strive every day to give my students everything they need to be successful, and now, because of your generosity, I have one more tool to make learning in my classroom exciting and engaging. This set of science books will allow me to teach difficult science content through literature. Students often need extra time to grasp difficult science concepts, but due to other curriculum, science time is cut short. By integrating science into literature I will give them the additional time that they need to be successful. Your generosity will not be forgotten as these books will be used year after year. Please visit my other projects again in the future.”

  • Do You Hear What I Hear?

    Funded Nov 29, 2011

Thank you so much for generosity and partnership with my classroom. My kids are absolutely the greatest students and they deserve the best that I can give them. Some times I can't afford the best on my own, so I turn to gracious supporters like you. With your support, you have provided a class set of tuning forks that will be used in many aspects of my science curriculum. These little gadgets provide a myriad of learning opportunities and exploratory learning. The kids will be excited and engaged in the lessons because of your simple click on our project page. I hope that you will come back to our projects often and help me to help the best students in the world get even better. ”

  • Where In The World?

    Funded Jun 21, 2011

WOW! What can I say that will adequately express my thanks to you for partnering with my classroom? I really don't have the words to fully express my gratitude for your generosity and giving spirit. In this economy, every dollar is important. The fact that you chose to spend your dollars on my students is very humbling. It makes me want to work even harder than I already do to make sure your dollars were not spent in vain. My students are going to LOVE the books you purchased for them. They will enhance my social studies and reading curriculum. They will add more time in our day because we will be able to integrate social studies into our reading time. The impact of these books will reach far and wide. I plan to use them year after years to guarantee success and learning for my students. You will forever be a part of that. Thank you seems like such a small phrase, but now there is a big grateful heart behind it!!!”

  • Inch By Inch

    Funded Apr 19, 2011

The measurement books that you helped purchase for my students are going to change the way I teach math during our measurement unit. Often times I have to teach a reading story in the morning and teach math in the afternoon. Having these 2 class sets of measurement books will enable me to create a math/literature unit that can be taught at the same time, thus filling the morning and afternoon with all of the reading and math skills that my students need. Time constraints are one of many factors we teachers face throughout the day and this will eliminate that hindrance. The books will be used for years to come to introduce my students to length, weight, capacity, temperature, and volume. I cannot thank you enough for partnering with me as I strive to be the best teacher I can be for my students. Please spread the word about Donors Choose and visit my projects often.”

  • Where Am I?

    Funded Apr 2, 2011

Thank you all so much for the amazing opportunities your generous gift has afforded my students. I can hardly wait for the materials to arrive. I kept putting off this unit of study in the hopes that the project would be funded. The books will arrive just in time for us to finish the year strong with exciting new, hands-on learning and a fresh set of class books. Map skills can be a difficult subject to teach 2nd graders, but your donation will make it a fun and educational time for all! I hope that you will consider stopping by my page often and continue to invest in education around the country! Thanks for all you have done for my children!!! ”

  • It's A Zoo In Here!

    Funded Mar 15, 2011

When I told the students this morning that our animal book project had been funded, it was pure chaos! Good chaos of course! The students were so excited that you all would choose to give your hard earned money to our class. I can only hope that your gift will inspire them to one day become donors to other worthy causes as they grow up. The books that you helped purchase will inspire them in many ways. Their reading levels will be challenged and pushed to new heights as the books are a tad higher than our grade level. They will be engaged and excited about science. They will have the resources they need to do research for projects in our classroom rather than waiting on library books to become available. I will post pictures as soon as the books arrive, but just know that the pictures will not do the excitement of my students justice. Thank you so much in investing in my students. We are forever grateful for your generosity!!!”

  • Ink Blot

    Funded Mar 11, 2011

In a world where the Internet reigns supreme and everything is

digital, having lots of ink for a classroom printer is imperative.

Everyday my students do research for various classroom assignments

online. They constantly ask to print things for their learning journals,

and many times I have to say no because we are trying to conserve our

ink. Teachers in our district are given a modest amount of supply money,

most of which I spend on ink every year. Even with that purchase, I

always come up short. With your donations, I now have enough ink to get

my class through all of next school year. I am already thinking of new

and exciting opportunities my students will be afforded because of your

generosity. Thank you so much for adding to the learning that is taking

place here in my room. It will NOT be forgotten. Please visit my other

    projects soon.”

  • Solid, Liquid, Gas...Help Me To P.A.S.S.

    Funded Mar 4, 2011

I cannot adequately put into words how this project will impact my classroom. Teaching about matter and the various states of water as a liquid, solid, and gas can be very confusing for primary grade learners. The tools that you have so generously given to my students will help them to learn about a difficult science concept through exciting, hands-on learning. As our president said just months ago, "teachers are nation builders." By giving to this project you enable me to be that nation builder that I am called to be. My students are so important to me. I want them to succeed and go far in life. Due to your generosity, I can push them a little bit closer to that success. Please stop by and visit my projects often so that I can nudge them even closer!”
