  • New Library Bound Books for the New School Year

    Thank you so much for all of your help! As soon as I unboxed these new books, I had students interested in reading them! They had to wait for a day while I finished basic library processing, but the interest was high from the moment the books arrived. Thank you for helping me update and refresh our school library collection. We now have new non-fiction (information) books, as well as some popular fiction and graphic novels. My "New Book" shelf has been emptied out twice!

    Thank you for all you've done for my students. Kids will develop a love of reading when they have access to books they ENJOY reading -- and you've helped provide many of my students with the books they like the most. Your donation will help many students for many years to come!”

  • Repair Supplies for our School Library

    Thank you so much for your help! I'm constantly using book tape and glue to patch together and repair our worn books -- now I have the supplies I need to get through the rest of the year! The tape cutter is a LOT of help, as I can quickly get strips of just the right length without having to measure it on my own. Thank you -- this really speeds up the repair process!

    I do have some of my students using these materials to help me repair books, but most students will never see them -- they will, however, benefit from being able to read the books that return to the library! So many of our most popular books start falling apart after going through so many hands -- now these books will make it into even MORE hands!”

My 7th and 8th grade students come from a variety of family backgrounds and ancestral homes. Our school isn't in a very affluent section of our district, and many students have irregular access to new books and materials. However, many of my students have a real love of reading, a love somewhat hindered by the difficulty in obtaining good copies of interesting books.
