  • Adventures Far Away...in Books!

    Funded Oct 13, 2022

We've had so much fun getting started with our reading adventures. As we've been reading, we've been able to explore new possibilities. Not only has reading this series allowed us to explore new subjects, we've also been able to increase our vocabulary. This book series is an amazing experience for all students as we've met dinosaurs and knights so far. These adventures have been fun and exciting at the same time. Thank you for your support of our learning and for keeping our classroom fun and adventurous.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Cory

  • Bring the Book and Adventure to Life!

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

We've started to work on our STEM project that ties into our reading of the Magic Tree House book series. Our goal is to build our very own Magic Tree House. Your generosity to this project is making that possible. As we complete a book, we build an additional part of our own tree house. This is allowing us to not only enjoy the book series, but to also use our creative minds to develop and make our very own tree house. We are so blessed and appreciative of your love and support for our classroom. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Cory

  • Let's Read and Further Our Experiences!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

As we've engaged and entered the wonderful world of the Magic Tree House book series, we've needed some fun and exciting work to complete to enhance our comprehension. Your generous donation towards our gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers has allowed me to find more materials for my students to work on as it relates to our reading and writing skills. We've used this gift certificate to purchase morning work worksheets to increase our practice of writing and comprehending questions asked. As we've dived further into reading our books, I've noticed that my students are beginning to display increased development in their ability to read. Thank you again for your love and support of my classroom and for helping us grow into strong readers.”

    Mr. Cory

  • Put It Away

    Funded Aug 22, 2022

As a teacher, I really enjoy and rely on having a clean and organized classroom. With the students that I teach, it is also very important to their daily schedule to have things in an organized fashion. It also helps that we put things back where they belong. This project has allowed me to clean up my classroom and store my working materials in a way that is beneficial for myself, the classroom staff, and students. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us stay focused and organized in the classroom.”

  • Clean Up Our Campus!

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

This has been such an amazing project for our campus and for our students. I can't thank you enough for helping us keep our campus clean and safe. Our students have had the blessing to learn how to help with basic cleaning tasks with our teachers and custodian. As we've battled fun and exciting weather, our students have had to learn how to manage and work with different types of weather, such as rain, snow, leaves, etc. Thank you again for providing our students with this fun and educational project that will keep the wanting and willing to help more and more.”

  • Explore Our Senses Through Sensory Tools

    Funded Jan 26, 2022

This letter of gratitude is long over due. Your support for this project was amazing and has been appreciated more than we can ever express. These sensory tools have allowed for my students to stay focused while working. They have also been able to use these tools to help self-regulate throughout the day.

With these sensory tools, my students have demonstrated and experienced less behaviors as it relates to their disability. My students have been able to express themselves using these tools in way that do not require physical aggression or self-injurious behavior.

Because of your love and support, my classroom has seen such an improvement in our behaviors and with the amount of work they've been able to accomplish. Again, we can not thank you enough.”

  • Watch Us Grow!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Your support has made such an impact to my classroom! We have these beautiful plants that my students love to water and watch grow. This has brought such an amazing opportunity to my classroom that has allowed my students to learn important life skills and understanding of how important it is to care for ourselves and others.

Without your love and support for my classroom, it wouldn't be possible to keep our life-skill learning fresh and exciting. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. We look forward to watch our plants grow.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Cory

  • Zoom Into Physical Activity!

    Funded Oct 13, 2022

I can not begin to express how much this project has changed my school and the students free time. Every time we head to the gym, I hear multiple students requesting and asking to ride the trikes in our gym. Not only have these trikes helped students get more physically active, it has given them something to look forward to in the gym and around the school.

Our students do require positive reinforcements, and this project has just given us staff another tool in our toolbox. And without your support, we wouldn't have gotten this opportunity. You have fulfilled a giant wish for us and for our students and I will never be able to thank you enough for your love and support. We truly appreciate you and your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Cory

  • Let's STEM Some More!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

This was a fun project to do because it doubled our supplies on many of our STEM projects. One of our favorite activities to do is to play with the BrainFlakes. Having two complete sets has allowed us to build even bigger projects, such as the train. The train was a 5 week project that we built one car per week. The students had such fun putting together all of the pieces and seeing the working end product.

Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to provide my wonderful students with fun and exciting hands on activities!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Cory

  • Yummy Rewards!

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

Isn't it amazing how food can be such a motivating factor? For my students, it has done that and more. First, my students are fully aware that we have snacks in the classroom and that they can have snacks as they need them. After all, kids with full belly's make things go smoother in the classroom, right?

This project has not only provided my students with snacks, it has also allowed us to work on important life skills. Students are able to pick jobs to do around the classroom and school to earn money so that they can purchase snacks when they are hungry and when they desire additional snacks. It has been great to watch them learn the importance of earning money to make purchases for items that they want and desire.

Your support is more than we could even imagine. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

    Mr. Cory

Special education students require focus on additional skills outside of academics, including skills learned through therapies. By learning to work with their hands and tools, special education students can build upon their motor skills while learning the enjoyment of building an object and learning skills that may help them with job securement in their future outside of school. This project will teach students to first make a birdhouse and how to customize it their own unique way. After the students have successfully completed their birdhouse project, other project ideas will be offered to allow each student the ability to pick a new project to make throughout the school year.
