My students are a great group of kids - enthusiastic, kind, polite and always eager to take on the next challenge. Their love for learning and discovering things on their own is most apparent when they have technology in their hands. They thrive when given a challenge and are given the resources to take those challenges on. During the "Hour of Code" my students chose to miss multiple recesses so they could learn more about computer science. To celebrate Pi Day I challenged my students to memorize as many digits of Pi as possible. I had seven students who memorized more than 80 digits and two students memorized more than 200 digits. Definitely a self-motivated and eager group of learners!
