• A Cart To Charge Our Laptops

  Funded Oct 11, 2023

  Thank you so much for your generosity and support towards our classroom and DonorsChoose project. This laptop cart has given our classroom an outlet to charge laptops for students to use in our Multimedia Class. The great part about this cart is it allows us to share it with other teachers and students. The cart arrived and students were so excited that they built it and added the laptops, setup the cords, and labelled everything. This summer our school tech setup the laptops so that they are ready to use on the first day of school.”

• Classroom Snacks

  Funded May 6, 2024

  Thank you so much for your generosity and support towards our classroom and DonorsChoose project. These snacks came in handy during the end of year stresses of testing, classes coming to an end, and a pick me up that students needed. Students enjoyed the snacks and are thankful to the DonorsChoose community for brining these items to our classroom. Students were able to eat all of the snacks in perfect timing for the end of the school year. All of these snacks were students favorite snacks and gave students an option to choose from, especially students with allergies had options to choose from.”

• Breakfast for Champions

  Funded May 8, 2024

  Thank you so much for helping to bring our DonorsChoose project to fruition. To say that my students loved their Breakfast for Champions would be an understatement. It was so lovely to watch them celebrate all their hard work and get time to relax after the busy and stressful Advanced Placement Exam Season. Reward students is essential in education and life for their hard work, tireless effort, and determination this whole year. Students enjoyed a well balanced breakfast. My students and I worked together to make this breakfast happen, from a waffle station where students made the waffles for each other, to a cereal bar. The great part about this project is the Waffle machines can be used for future use and will be made available to other classrooms in our school.”

• Celebrating the Class of 2024

  Funded May 9, 2024

  Thank you so much for your generosity and support towards our classroom and DonorsChoose Project. This project brought smiles to our seniors faces, now our Alumni. It was the perfect close of their high school career to get a send off with memories and reminders of their class of 2024. We also made each student a custom keychain with their baby picture and their high school senior picture, this was a surprise that students loved. The Photo Booth was a great addition to our class as it created a place for student to take pictures with their friends that will be lasting memories.

• Creating the Perfect Button

  Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our DonorsChoose project and our classroom. When I say students LOVE this button maker, that is an understatement. Students creativity and wanting to make buttons has become the talk around school. We also created buttons for the many certifications that students earned this year, so after each passing of a certification exam students received a button with the logo of the software they learned.

  Students have really enjoyed our Multimedia class but I believe not just learning about programs like Adobe Photoshop is essential but taking that knowledge and being able to create a tangible item makes learning more exciting and enjoyable, students had to use their skills in graphic design when it came to print and then were able to create a button to show off their skills. We also purchased keychains in which we could use the button maker to make keychains.”

• Turning Creativity Into Reality

  Funded May 6, 2024

  Thank you so much for your support towards our DonorsChoose project. The items arrived quickly and in perfect timing. We were able to use the Candy, Cellophane, and ribbon to take students design that were turned into mugs and fill them with candy, wrap each one and finally add the ribbon for a perfect presentation. Students designed mothers day mugs and this weekend plan to give them to their moms.

  Learning Photoshop is always fun but what made this assignment even better is that students were able to design something for their Mothers to wish them a Happy Mothers Day and see their design come to life, and finally bring the entire presentation together.”

• The Lens Into Photography

  Thank you so much for your generosity and support towards our DonorsChoose project and classroom. These items have been used by students in a variety of ways. From Students using the camera and accessories to take pictures at school wide events like our National Honor Societies induction ceremony to our most recent Alumni Event in which students took charge and photographed both events. In the coming months we plan to learn more about Digital Photography and use the skills with Adobe Photoshop and the different lenses on the camera to learn real world skills. Students have also enjoyed using the 360 Degree camera and the lens protection guard from this project have supported in ensuring that the camera lens doesn't get scratched and have an impact on the footage of the camera.”

• JuiceMind For AP Computer Science A

  Thank you so much for your support to bring our project to life. Students in AP Computer Science A have been loving JuiceMinds as a fun and creative way to validate learning. This platform has brought a creative way to validating students understanding in Computer Science topics, especially coding. With the pro version students have been able to challenge themselves with different levels of difficulty and students have really been enjoying challenging themselves with more complexity and challenging questions.”

• Printing in a MakerSpace

  Funded Sep 20, 2023

  Thank you so much for your generosity and support towards our classroom and DonorsChoose project. We have been using this new printer in our classroom to print students Industry Certification Exam certificates. Students were so excited to get a nicely printed and laminated certificate of their hard work. Students have taken the Adobe Photoshop certification and are looking forward to earning more before the end of the school year. With our classroom button maker we have been able to print student's designs and make them into a button. This classroom printer has been a great addition to our classroom and allowed students another outlet to express their creativity and have their designs print the best quality possible.”

• Polaroid Printer to Capture Memories

  Funded Sep 10, 2023

  Thank you so much for helping to bring our project to life. Ever since we started this tradition of having students take polaroid pictures, decorate the picture and display it in our classroom, it has become students favorite tradition. This project has allowed for our tradition to continue this year and makes students feel even more a part of our classroom by having their picture displayed. This polaroid printer has allowed students to print their pictures with higher quality. Students love the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 2 as they can connect their mobile device to it and print higher quality pictures than with a traditional polaroid camera.

  This project gave my students another outlet to express themselves in a fun and creative way, while also having a way to decorate our classroom with a picture of themselves. At open house this year, parents first stop was to look for their Childs picture on display.
