• Lighting for an Inviting Enviroment

  Thank you so much for your donation. Lighting makes a huge difference in my classroom, in terms of the classroom climate and students overall attitude toward learning. In the this time I've had these light covers, students continually tell me how much more comfortable they feel in my classroom, and I owe it to your generosity. It now feels like my classroom is truly a place for ideas, exploring and learning. I believe the covers have made the difference.

• Jeff Zentner Discusses The Serpent King With My Students!

  Thank you for providing a truly unique experience for my students. During this time, now only were they able to talk to an actual author, from a a book they loved, they also learned more about the writing process, and got to ask questions of the author about his plot discussions. They alsohas the chance to understand how ideas germinate.

  After the talk, many of students discussed how they too want ot be writers, and this experience helped them to see a way forward. Of course, none of this would have been possible without your generosity.”

• Ya Books That Reflect a Diverse World

• Books for Classroom Library in Need of Replenishment

  These books were so appreciated by my students. I have a library in my classroom, and daily I recommend books, as students need to read a million words for school year. All the books on my shelf I have read, so I am sure I can discuss them with students. I also give them time to read their books in class.

  I can't tell you how many times I see kids smiling in my room while reading or showing passages to other students. These are the type of books that make life-long readers, and you're gift has put them on that road.”

• A Novel About Resilience in Times of Stress

• Bean Bags--Comfort for Groups, Reading and Writing

  Thank you so much for your gift of bean bag chairs. In my class, we have writers and readers workshop, and the bean bags allowed students to have a comfortable space to really explore their thoughts. This created an environment for them that was free of distraction and a feel that they are being acknowledged as authentic readers and writers. In a world where students are in search of once agin finding their identity, the bean bags gave them a sense of normalcy, so needed.
