In our Algebra class we work with problems that involve many steps. Students with special needs sometimes stumble on these steps. Often times they simply don't have the physical space to write out all the steps in a neat and organized manner they (and their teachers) can follow. Dry erase tables are an amazing tool for special needs students to learn algebra. With a dry erase table a student can use the space of their entire table to write out each step of the problem. They can cleanly erase and start over. Although these might seem like small factors for a student with special needs it makes a huge difference to be given better tools and more space.
