  • Mustangs Band Together

    Funded Nov 6, 2020

Our athletes are doing great! Your massive contribution and belief in our athletic program has played a great role in our successes. The athletes, have been pretty excited to use the bands and try new variations of exercises with these bands.

As soon as we opened them up their eyes lite up with joy and eagerness to begin. They have grown accustom to adding the bands to increase resistance.

The next steps are to involve more exercises that utilize bands and hopefully start to increase ranges of motion during our warm-ups and post stretching routines.

Again, thank you so much for your support of our athletic department, as we continue our journey.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Yancey

  • Power-Up Mustangs

    Funded Oct 30, 2019

Thank you so much for your support of our program. Our athletes have benefited greatly from the foam plyo boxes!

The day we opened the boxes you saw eyes light up with joy and excitement. The athletes couldn't wait to get to work with the new equipment. We have seen many improvements in performance and confidence in training. Our athletes are greatly appreciative of your contribution to their success!

The next step in our training journey is to continue to implement our training programs incorporating the boxes in a variety of ways that allow for continued growth in the training process. Thank you!”

  • Mustang Strength!

    Funded Apr 4, 2019

Our Mustang family truly appreciates your generosity. We are using the medicine balls often and we see a huge transfer in our athletes. The moment we opened the boxes and used the medicine balls for an outdoor activity the athletes immediately lite up with joy. The material has created a new spark for our athletic department! Our next steps are to add to the material, because we've obtained a great interest from other students looking to become athletes or desire to be more fit. Thank you again for helping us succeed both in training and competition.”

  • Building Strength, One Rep at a Time!

    Funded Oct 13, 2018

Words can't describe how thankful we are for your support. Our athletic program has gotten better because of you! Thank you greatly for your generous donations to our cause. We have utilized the bands, athletic tape, and dip belts numerous times since obtaining them and our athletes are enjoying the new challenges of the movements.

We have a couple athletes who are really getting the hang of the dip belts and like to use them during our chin-up exercises as you can see in the pictures. Thank you for giving our youth a boost knowing that others are out there rooting for the Mustangs success!”

  • Integrating Technology in PE!

    Funded Oct 10, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting our PE classes with the incorporation of technology. We use the technology in PE by utilizing on-line resources to help get a better understanding of our body systems, or movement patterns.

The most exciting thing about the new product is that the students are super eager about collecting data now. The old pencil and paper method still holds true and works, but to have another means to entering the data creates a different element for our students. We are taking the old outlook on PE and turning these students into movement scientists. With the use of technology in PE it also allows for a new perspective, the students realize everything we do has a meaning and we are looking for specific results so performing the correct way is important. Thank you all for bringing a new light to our PE program, as we strive to create lifelong learners and movers!”

  • Pursuing a Healthy Lifestyle, One Game at a Time!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for generosity! My students love using the equipment. Since receiving the items, we have used them in a variety of activities that have improved student success. Especially during our March Madness basketball activities. Students have taken a great liking to the 6 ft. goals, because of their increased success of making shots; which has in turn made them want to use them before, during, and after school. The stop watches worked great during our shoot out activity and fitness circuits. The students loved the challenge of trying to figure out who was moving faster, and how to decrease their times. The little ones loved the lollipop paddles! They seemed to bring the striking with implements unit to life. The large surface allowed for much success and great visibility for the lower grades.

Every student seemed to erupt with joy after seeing the equipment that you all sent. They were asking to use each item almost every class period, and even during their recess times. I appreciate you all bringing such energy and enthusiasm to my class and school with your donation.

The plan for next year is to utilize the equipment immediately, and introduce them to more activities. I'm excited, as are the students just knowing that we have such awesome equipment waiting for us come next school year. Thank you all!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Yancey

I am requesting the ball goals to help with teaching shooting skills and to increase the success rate of my students based on goal height. The goals will allow us to participate in our March Madness activities both inside and outside. Our fitness circuits are a race against time, that's where the stopwatches come in! Our students will encourage one another as they each complete our fitness circuits, being timed by a group leader. The use of the foam racquets will be a safe and great implement to use when introducing striking and hand-to-eye coordination to our PreK-2 graders which will lead into more complex activities (i.e. tennis). These materials will give the students a chance to improve their success rate and increase their likelihood of continued practice and participation in physical activities individually and as a team. Thank you for taking the time to check out our class project.
