Funded May 6, 2025On behalf of the students, staff, and families at our school, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the incredible educational resource that Starfall has been to our school community. With over 400 students in our care, the positive impact of your platform has been both profound and far-reaching.
Starfall has become a vital part of our early literacy and foundational math instruction. Its engaging, interactive content makes learning enjoyable and accessible for our diverse learners, particularly our youngest students who are just beginning their educational journey. Many of our students enter school without prior exposure to structured learning environments, and Starfall provides them with an encouraging, supportive space to develop key skills at their own pace.
Teachers frequently share how Starfall enhances classroom instruction, providing differentiated learning opportunities that support reading fluency, phonics development, and comprehension. For our English language learners and students with special learning needs, the visual and auditory supports offered through Starfall have proven especially effective in helping bridge learning gaps and build confidence.
Beyond academics, Starfall has helped foster a love of reading and learning among our students. It is not uncommon to hear excited chatter about a favorite Starfall story or math game. For many of our children, it's not just an educational tool—it's a daily highlight that makes school feel exciting and empowering.
We are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to accessible, high-quality education. The ripple effect of your work is evident in the growing skills, joy, and curiosity of our students. Thank you for helping us give every child a strong and inspired start.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Welsh

Funded Mar 17, 2025We are incredibly grateful for your generous support in providing new headphones for our elementary school computer lab. Thanks to your contribution, our students now have the tools they need to fully engage in their digital learning experiences.
Before your donation, many of our headphones were worn out, broken, or barely functional. This made it difficult for students to focus, hear instructions clearly, or complete assignments that required audio. Now, with reliable new headphones, our students can work more independently, stay engaged in their learning, and participate fully in educational programs and assessments.
Your gift has had an immediate and visible impact in our classrooms. It has removed a barrier to learning and helped create a more equitable and effective environment for all students. Thank you for investing in their success and helping us create a better learning experience.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Welsh
Diversifying Our Library
Funded Feb 25, 2025On behalf of our school, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support in diversifying our elementary school library with the addition of Spanish-language books.
Over 60% of our student population speaks Spanish at home, and it is vital that our library reflects the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of our community. Thanks to your contribution, our students now have greater access to books that celebrate their heritage, strengthen their language skills, and foster a lifelong love of reading.
Seeing our students light up when they find stories written in their native language—or discover new ones to share with their families—has been both heartwarming and inspiring. Your support has made a meaningful and lasting impact on their educational experience and sense of belonging.
Thank you again for investing in our students and helping us build a library that truly represents and serves our community.”

Picture Perfect Books
Funded Mar 17, 2025On behalf of the students and staff at our school, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation of award-winning picture books to our school library.
These beautifully crafted stories have already begun making a remarkable impact. Our students are drawn to the vibrant illustrations and compelling narratives, and it's a joy to see their eyes light up with curiosity and excitement. The addition of these celebrated titles has transformed our library into an even more inviting place, where children can explore new ideas, cultures, and perspectives through the pages of a book.
Most importantly, these books are helping to cultivate a genuine love for reading. They are building the foundation for strong reading habits that will support our students' academic growth and personal development for years to come. From our youngest readers just discovering the joy of story time to emerging readers finding confidence in their abilities, your contribution has enriched our learning community in ways that are both immediate and lasting.
Thank you for investing in our children's futures and helping us nurture a lifelong love of reading.”

Books That Encourage Inclusive Communities
Funded Mar 8, 2025I am writing to share the positive impact that the addition of new inclusive books has had on our elementary school library and, more importantly, on our students.
Over the past several months, our library has welcomed a thoughtfully curated collection of inclusive books—stories that reflect the diverse identities, experiences, and voices of our student population and beyond. These additions have been met with remarkable enthusiasm and engagement from students and teachers alike.
Since introducing these new titles, we have seen a noticeable increase in book checkouts, particularly among students who previously showed limited interest in reading. Children are eagerly selecting stories where they see themselves represented—whether through culture, language, family structure, or lived experiences. Others are discovering new perspectives and developing a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for people different from themselves.
Teachers have also embraced these resources as tools to spark meaningful classroom discussions and to help create more inclusive and welcoming learning environments. The presence of these books has enhanced our efforts to affirm every student's identity while fostering a love of reading.
We are proud of the strides we've made and are committed to continuing this work. The impact of inclusive literature is both immediate and long-lasting, and we are grateful for the opportunity to offer our students books that reflect the rich diversity of our world.
Thank you for your support of our library and of initiatives that celebrate every child's story.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Welsh

Funded Jan 15, 2025Thank you so much for funding this project. We are always looking for titles to add to our library collection to further diversify our library and better represent and celebrate the the very diverse community in which we live. These books represent the new Towner Award Winning books that are the best of the new Non-Fiction Titles chosen this year. The Towner Award is the Washington state award for nonfiction picture books written for 2nd-6th grade students.
As librarians in our district we have chosen to teach our students about the 7 types of Non-Fiction and the Towner award books are one of the many ways we are doing that. These books will help students improve their research skills and find their favorite way of using Non-Fiction books to support their learning. Students enjoy the variety of books in this project and you have helped us to further our goal of continuing to teach with Non-Fiction titles in our library. Thank you so much.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Welsh
