  • Science Can Be Fun

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. The children can't wait for the materials to arrive and begin creating and learning through STEM. Our children are very motivated to learn new things and your generosity helps bring this to life. As soon as we receive our materials, we look forward to sending some pictures of our projects.

Thank you again for making our classroom a better place.”

    With gratitude,

  • Is That a New Book?

    Funded Dec 15, 2022

It is so difficult to find anything better than thank you to offer as gratitude. You have made such a large impact on our new library with your generosity. My students (and their teacher!) will appreciate your spirit of giving for years to come.

Your donation of award-winning books for our class library is greatly appreciated. It is the first step of building a better reading environment for students. The students were thrilled to receive these publications. The books are an excellent addition to our growing collection of cultural resources. Your generosity to support the students in our community is greatly appreciated.”

  • Learn With Games

    Funded Jun 8, 2022

Thank you so much for generously providing the funds needed for this project. All my students are tremendously excited and wanted to immediately use all the materials. I plan to use all of these materials in an exciting and appropriate way to fuel student learning and achievement.

With yard space being limited there are few options during recess. These games will provide a safe space both physically and emotionally to hopefully tap into their creative energy. These games will foster teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills. It has been noticed that students tend to share and be more collaborative during creative situations like this.

All students were immediately attracted to the microscope, mostly because they thought it was a telescope. After a brief explanation they were fascinated again. They started bringing in all kinds of items (chocolate, leaves, sand) to see what they looked like under the microscope.

One more time, thanks so much!”

  • Supplies for Learning!

    Funded Dec 14, 2018

Thank you for taking the time to donate to our project. Unfortunately some schools do not have a wealth of resources and every little bit helps. Students look forward to different and engaging ways to learn, rather than the traditional notebook and pencil.

The boards and markers provided a different way for students to show their work. They love the idea of writing on a board with markers, but more importantly it engaged them in the learning process. By working with the boards they instinctively began to monitor how their friends were solving the problems. This created an environment of peer collaboration in which they corrected and helped each other.

Our next step would to get more boards to have more students collaborate and work together. Thanks again for your generosity.”

  • Fun with Games!

    Funded Mar 30, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you for taking the time to donate to our project. It is so important to have quality equipment to support quality education. We waited patiently everyday for the materials to arrive. Students were already planning and discussing when and how to use the games. The children were so excited when they found out that our request had been funded.

Having limited space and materials for recreational activities at our school poses limitations on what kids can do. Many of them find themselves unhappy or in conflict. These educational games have provided them the opportunity to play together and collaborate. It was great to see the older children helping/teaching the younger ones how to use the new games.

The activities focus on science, math and the arts. This has given students the opportunity to express their thoughts through various medium, which allows the students to use their time more effectively. This will help to strengthen their social-emotional well-being and will build their imagination.

Thank you once again for donating to my students. It is always exciting to receive the things that you wish for. When you see this excitement through the lens of a child that rarely sees new things, you can appreciate it even more.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Tumino

  • Arts And Crafts!

    Funded May 20, 2015

We were very excited to receive the wonderful arts and crafts supplies. We now have a variety of colors and drawing materials to brighten our classroom. Our students will have multiple opportunities to express their creativity and artistic talents.

The materials you gave us are being used across the subject areas to bring learning to life. In social studies especially these arts and crafts have allowed us to create exciting and colorful projects that showcase important parts of US history, including the American Revolution. The students have also enjoyed using the art supplies to write colorful poetry that expresses their individuality. All in all, each part of our day has been bettered with the arts and crafts materials.

Student learning has been deeply invigorated and expanded due to your generous donation of arts and crafts! Throughout the academic day and during special recesses, students are learning to express themselves artistically and are deepening their engagement in school.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Tumino

  • Help Me Choose My Own Book!

    Funded Mar 19, 2015

Thank you so much for the donations for our Barnes and Noble book excursion! It has completely transformed our students. For the first time, students were excited, engaged and buzzing about reading. It was a sincere privilege watching the students' faces light up as they walked through the rows and rows of books. The power of choosing their own book helped them to understand the importance of reading. Thanks to you their love of reading was given the spark it needed.

Too often, children who come from homes with limited resources, seldom have the ability to go to a store and pick a book based on their own interests. And not only were the children excited and thankful, but also, the parents expressed such deep gratitude that their children had the opportunity to choose up to three books of their liking. Hopefully, these books will be a constant reminder to students (and families) of the opportunities and experiences that new books can bring. Thank you for giving our students this opportunity. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Tumino

  • Arts and Crafts will Save the Day!

    Funded Nov 1, 2014

Thank you for your very generous donation!

This is coming at the perfect time since the cold weather is rapidly approaching, and our students will be trapped inside all day long. We will finally be able to say "YES!" to our students when they request to use art supplies! Your donation will bring much joy to my classroom!

This wonderful gift will provide our students with opportunities to expand their thinking and grow as people through art and creativity. Students sometimes have difficulty envisioning what is happening in the books they read. Having the ability to re-create a strong visual image to further comprehension is an essential part of their learning process.”
