Getting Great Minds Together at the Activity Table
Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you so much for donating to our project. The furniture that you funded has helped us greatly. The students absolutely adore the table. They tell me that learning is easier now that they can interact with each other without having to waste time pulling desks together.
The table allows me to have small group instruction in a controlled atmosphere. These students are able to learn through a group instruction instead of being lost in a larger group. The students can use the table for constructing their scale models of the Solar system. In the past the student's projects would roll off the desks and fall to the ground. Now they are able to construct them on the flat and larger table.
This resource has allowed my excelled students to challenge themselves through the use of games that are above 6th grade level. The table also allows students that have difficulty sitting in a desk for long periods of time to have a change of setting for some time.”

We Need a Place to Sit
Funded Dec 1, 2017Thank you so much for helping to fund my project. My students were so thrilled to hear the news when the email arrived this morning. They have missed being able to sit in small groups to work on their projects. Having the chairs will allow them to work without feeling the negative effects of sitting on crates. I can barely wait to see their faces when they show up and everything is here. They will be over the moon with excitement.”

Bringing Technology to Room 604
Funded Sep 3, 2013Thank you so much for donating to our project. The technology that you funded has helped us greatly. The students absolutely adore the iPad. They tell me that learning is easier now that they can interact with math games and tutorial videos.
The iPad allows me to have another station for when we split in groups. These students are able to learn through a video that reinforces the skills we just learned. I have also created a library on the iPad through the use of one of the applications. The students can borrow any of the books that are scanned into the iPad and it will give them a description of the book along with the reading level. The students are able to use the technology during down time to enhance their First in Math skills.
This resource has allowed my excelled students to challenge themselves through the use of interactive games that are above 6th grade level. The iPad also allows students that have difficulty reading longer stories, to listen to the story through the books website.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Smith
