Flipping Into Fitness
Funded Dec 18, 2024I can't thank you enough for your generosity and the impact it has had on our students at PS 40. Because of you, our kids now have the mats they need to safely explore gymnastics, cheerleading, and movement in ways they never could before.
These mats have made an incredible difference across all of our physical education programs. Our cheerleading team now has a safe space to practice tumbling, stunts, and routines with confidence. They're gaining not only strength and coordination but also teamwork and school spirit. For our general physical education students, these mats provide new opportunities to engage in gymnastics, stretching, and movement activities that build their confidence and physical skills. And perhaps most importantly, they've been a game-changer for our adaptive physical education students. Many of them face unique challenges, and these mats allow them to move, explore, and participate in ways that feel safe and supported.
Every day, I see the joy in their faces when they master a new skill—whether it's a simple roll, a jump, or just feeling comfortable enough to try something new. Your generosity has created an environment where all students, regardless of their abilities, can experience the joy of movement. You didn't just provide equipment—you gave these kids confidence, excitement, and the chance to grow in ways that will stay with them for life.
On behalf of our students, our staff, and our entire school community—thank you. Your kindness has made a lasting impact, and we are forever grateful.”
With gratitude,
