The students in my Current Events class are eager and curious to learn about the world around them; unfortunately the resources they have are often mismatched to their current abilities. To develop into citizens who are able to engage deeply with their world, they need learning materials that are accessible to them. Students in my Current Events class have reading levels that range from 2nd to 11th grade, one article will not work for all my students. The TIME Edge subscription will give my students the ability to read articles that challenge them without overwhelming them or driving them away from the subject. Being able to reference a globe in my classroom will give my students the ability to visualize where we are in the world and where the events we will read about are taking place in a way that is tangible and accessible for all.
